mrv3000: made by elismor (Wimsey - Harriet and Peter)

CORN NUTS!

Thanks to a diazepam-induced sleep, I dreamed of a room filled with Fritos. Instead of thinking it was a mess, I was thinking it was quite nice. I don't even like Fritos!

(And I discovered that diazepam and me are NOT FRIENDS. I took it for my vertigo, but it only made me as jumpy as a cat and I had a horrible time sleeping last night. Well, at least I won't get addicted since I never ever ever want to touch the stuff ever again.)

Still reading the Harriet Vane Wimsey books and have decided this about Peter and Harriet:

Peter: *sees Harriet and instantly decides to be her lap puppy*

Harriet: *does not want a puppy of any type -- lap or otherwise -- since she feels she's a better individual while living in a puppy-free existence*

Peter: *bounds around, frequently asking to fulfill his role of being her lap puppy, and generally being cute*

Harriet: *throws a stick for him and scritches him under the chin, while declaring SHE DOES NOT HAVE A PUPPY*

HEE. *PATS THEM BOTH*

[livejournal.com profile] jabberwockpie did point out to me that if you'd been bitten by a rather unpleasant dog, you might want to give it a bit of time before getting a puppy! ;-)

Have you read any of the short stories?

Good point. :D

Not yet. They are ON MY LIST. As is every other Wimsey book I don't own so, you know... XD

I've only read the Harriet ones yet (and one Harriet is barely in), but the reaction to the new baby is PRICELESS.

I'm imagining Phillip as one of those horrible little yappy dogs. The kind with an owner (that horrible toady suck-up whose name escapes me at the moement) who says he's so sweet and precious, really! And it's your fault if he bit you because you must have been provoking him.

LOL YES. THIS IS ABSURDLY PERFECT.

I can't think what Peter would be. A pure breed, OBVIOUSLY. XD

Peter strikes me as a bit of a cocker spaniel, though I may be biased because I like them. Follow you everywhere, very cuddly and snuggly, and get sad if you leave them alone.

And at one point they became quite terribly inbred ;). (Both of my Mom's cocker spaniels had congenital epilepsy from that sort of thing.)

Awww! Or a whippet. :D

Blonde Cocker Spaniel Puppy disagrees with you! ;)

Well this would definitely be Helen. :D

Yes, of course!

Though Helen would be one of those dogs who growls if you so much as look at her funny.

Interesting, if strange dream.

I'm not sure I should try and interpret it. :D

But did you dream about a big pot of chili? Mmmmm...Frito pie! ;)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-06-05 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
:D Nope, just the Fritos.
