CORN NUTS!
Thanks to a diazepam-induced sleep, I dreamed of a room filled with Fritos. Instead of thinking it was a mess, I was thinking it was quite nice. I don't even like Fritos!
(And I discovered that diazepam and me are NOT FRIENDS. I took it for my vertigo, but it only made me as jumpy as a cat and I had a horrible time sleeping last night. Well, at least I won't get addicted since I never ever ever want to touch the stuff ever again.)
Still reading the Harriet Vane Wimsey books and have decided this about Peter and Harriet:

Still reading the Harriet Vane Wimsey books and have decided this about Peter and Harriet:
Peter: *sees Harriet and instantly decides to be her lap puppy*
Harriet: *does not want a puppy of any type -- lap or otherwise -- since she feels she's a better individual while living in a puppy-free existence*
Peter: *bounds around, frequently asking to fulfill his role of being her lap puppy, and generally being cute*
Harriet: *throws a stick for him and scritches him under the chin, while declaring SHE DOES NOT HAVE A PUPPY*

Have you read any of the short stories?
jabberwockpie did point out to me that if you'd been bitten by a rather unpleasant dog, you might want to give it a bit of time before getting a puppy! ;-)
Good point. :D

I can't think what Peter would be. A pure breed, OBVIOUSLY. XD

And at one point they became quite terribly inbred ;). (Both of my Mom's cocker spaniels had congenital epilepsy from that sort of thing.)

Though Helen would be one of those dogs who growls if you so much as look at her funny.
