I've always planned to go get like 15 doctorate degrees if I turn even more into one of the rich undead. I mean, I go swanning around with pale skin and hideous circulation already, but it bothers me that I don't have the time to get all the postgraduate education I want. But as I've figured out that the more things you cram into your day the more things you have time to do, paradoxically, I might just be forced to stalk high school girls in my spare time just to get enough work done. How inconvenient.
...actually, that could explain a lot of vampire romances where the vampire love interest stalks around huffing and sighing and angsting a lot. Dissertations don't write themselves!
That said, it finally dawned on me a couple months back that it is the ultimate self-inflicted punishment. Since self-loathing is a standard feature of such characters...
I'm only one of TWO people who would go to high school?!
I give you the failing of the American school system. Everyone would rather be vampires.
And if you've ever read the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter novels, you'll know that the best vampires get rich by owning and running vampire strip clubs. SEXY.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. *ahem* Look, I love the show, but I have to admit, the notion that any of these people would willingly enroll in high school reaaaaaalllly stretches my suspension of disbelief, and you know how stretchy THAT is. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to high school, I don't know what crack these writers are on.
Online college classes all the way....unless I'm rich. Then I'm hiring private tutors and learning all that I can. Possibly taking night classes as well.
Note that as a regular human I kinda hate school but love learning, obviously being a vampire would be worse than my hating of school so I would < pun >suck it up< / pun> and go back.

You are a high student and while in high school you become a vampire. IS IT ACCEPTABLE TO GRADUATE OR SHOULD YOU DROP OUT RIGHT AWAY.

And no. I liked high school well enough, but go back? "Are you nuts?" is a very good question.

Yeah, I wasn't tormented or anything, but I do NOT want to go back. Ever.

Re: School for the Immortal Damned
I'm sort of the same way myself. I like learning, but never really liked school.
