I finally watched all of Ugly Betty.

Overall it was really fun to watch. Unlike another show *mumble mumble*, this show meant for its characters to be caricatures, belonging firmly in Camp. But even if a character was mainly around for laughs, he/she still tended to have a bit of depth. And outrageous plotlines fit right in.

Some episodes were better than others, which kept me wishing that the seasons had been shorter. I remember when I first got into Doctor Who, I was complaining about the 13 episode seasons. But I've kind of gotten used to the more-compressed style of storytelling. Padding is boring.

One thing that really threw me though, was how much Daniel/Betty felt tacked-on at the end. Maybe part of the problem was that I happened to catch the end of S4 first, which made me go and watch the whole thing. I was expecting at least some sort of UST to come before, but no. Don't get me wrong - I love ships where people start out as simply friends. But I feel kind of odd about this resolution - I don't hate it, but yet it felt out of left field to me.

Actually, I'm way more interested in Betty and Claire Meade's relationship. (Not like that, you strange people, you.) Betty and Claire were interesting and adorable and I wanted to draw little hearts around them! It's funny - I think I'd love to see Betty and Daniel married some day, simply because Claire and Betty would then be in-laws.

And I still hate Henry. He's like nails down the chalk board to me. GTFO, HENRY.

I didn't realize it was an import! Interesting...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. At least, that's what I heard about it.
