*reaches through the freshly dropped 5 inches we received in a few hours early this morning on top of the 3 inches we got on Monday to pat your little head and then pummel you with snow balls*
I have seen snowflakes in San Diego before, but I was working on the 14th floor of a building and the flakes were probably gone by the time they hit the ground.
MICHELLE. YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY RUN OUT AND BUY THE FOLLOWING:
1. Six loaves of bread. 2. Four gallons of milk (whether you drink milk or not). 3. All the canned food you can fit in your cart. 4. Enough prepared food to last a week in case you get snowed in. 5. Five cases of water. (Because it's not like snow melts or anything.) 6. Two big bags of M&Ms. 7. A crank radio (even if you already have one in your earthquake kit).
If you don't buy these things, you will die. It is also important to ram your cart into as many other carts as possible because THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, PEOPLE.
As an afterthought, on the way out, you might consider a bottle of de-icer for your car, and a bag of salt or sand. Maybe. You know, if you think about it.

They've changed the forecast! I'm so bummed. It's going to be cold enough to snow at sea level, but it's looking less and less likely that it will actually snow here tomorrow. I really wanted to see what my puppy thought of the snow. I may have to drive to one of our taller hills tomorrow morning with her to check it out. There should be snow at elevation.
*giggles at Shinyopals* Hee, yes. London shuts down for what we in Glasgow would recognize as a dusting of snow. :3
Just so long as you have salt on hand, Merv, I think you'll be fine. Salt lowers the freezing point, and makes the ice/snow melt more quickly. Makes it easier to clear and get around without slipping.
I KNOW! We might get snow in Norcal too! It's exciting! Except now they're saying it rained too much today and there won't be enough moisture for snow. It will only be cold enough it could happen. Boo! That is TOO COLD with no interesting weather to make up for it.
