GG news article

Somewhat interesting article on the Gilmore Girl's 6th season so far and a vague hint of what type of season finale it might be:

Am amused by the line "caused some sharp arguments among the show's rabid fans." I wonder what their definition of a "rabid fan" is? Because when I think of a rabid fan, I'm not thinking "sharp arguments," I'm thinking flames. :D

I agree with Lauren Graham - the whole Rory/Lorelai rift was pretty contrived. Actually, a lot of things are feeling pretty contrived these days. One thing I used to love about the show was its fairly honest portrayal of emotions/relationships. Now a lot seems there for the dwama.

I don't agree with the Palladinos with the statement, "But in this case, they said it was important to do something that shakes Rory to her foundation — a typical rite of passage for budding adults, who learn about themselves by how they respond." Okay, maybe *some* people have total personal/mental breakdowns when they become an adult, but I didn't. And I don't think any of my friends did. Yet somehow we're still adults. Not sure exactly how "typical" this is.

Ending it after S7 would be good. Rory will be graduating from Yale and it would be a natural ending. Yes, they could continue, but why? Seven seasons is a *great* run for a show.
