I got me a Cadillac car...
Just saw "Dreamgirls" and total thumbs up! But then, I have this sort of fascination with film musicals that have come out in the last few years. Costumes, sets, music, singing - everything was top-notch. And everyone acted their hearts out, including Jennifer Hudson who I guess was on American Idol a few years back. She absolutely stole the movie, and this was up against talent like Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy.
If you do see it, get ready for a *musical.* Instead of dialog, a lot of the times songs were sung instead. But what singing! And...Eddie Murphy can sing? No...really SING? Who knew?
ETA: Unrelated - just checked the weather and it's already below freezing! And it's not even 11 p.m. And it's going to get down to 24 tonight! (That's -4.444444444 C!) That doesn't happen here! OMG, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE! If I see any stray cats out there, I'm totally bringing them in. Maybe I should go look for cats.
