Mini-fic: Attitude Adjustment

When [livejournal.com profile] beck_liz and I *both* start getting cynical over S3 spoilers for DW, then an attitude adjustment needs to be attempted. (Just so SO blah about S3 right now...and a wee bit heartsick again.) So I wrote her a stupid little mini-fic, which is the closest I'll *ever* come to threesome fic.

There was this awkward tension in the air, and the Doctor wasn't quite sure what had caused it... Oh, wait. Almost thinking Jack was his son. That's what had caused it.

"But...not, right?" Jack asked nervously.

"Oh, I should hope not. No offense, Jack... Well, come to think of it, there might be some offense there. But no. Definitely, assuredly and categorically not."

"So you can get back over there now?"

"I'm a Time Lord with the most awesome ship in the universe that can rewrite reality on a whim. What do you think?"

"I think we're getting Rose."

"Damn straight."

"Okay, what do you need to do?"

"Let's see. Page eighty-four: AUs involving giant shrimp. No. Um...page ninety-two: AUs with goatee-wearing evil opposites. No... Oh, hold on! AUs involving zeppelins! Okay...twenty feet of copper wire. Check. One live duck. Check. Reverse the polarity. Check. Here we go!"

"Hot damn! So, after we get Rose, you think there could be sex?"

The Doctor sighed. "Oh all right, fine. I suppose you've earned it. But only with Rose as a buffer and I'm allowed to get *incredibly* drunk."

"Deal. And bring the duck."

"On second thought..."
