Carnivale

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

See, I KNEW it would be bad the second I started thinking Jonesy and Libby were sweet - I swear that's the death knell of onscreen couples with me lately. They were DOOMED. HMPH. *mutters about stupid doomed relationships*

And Sophie! ACK! That did throw me for a curve, because I did NOT expect Sophie to carry on Justin's heritage. (Or even expect Sophie to be Justin's daughter, for that matter.) But I guess the name of the show's game is "fate." None of these people had a choice.

I see why people wanted another season. But on the other hand, it's sort of come full circle while the wheels keep spinning. Ben's now where Management was - wounded and traveling with the carnival. And this is just a never-ending battle between good and evil.

It is kinda strange that Ben did what he needed to do, but Sophie could still heal Justin. You'd think that would have ended things. Lodz did call Sophie the "Omega" so I guess things were supposed to end with her all along. But...hmm. Why would Justin be revived then? Wouldn't Sophie now be this force? Hmm. Loose end.

Overall, very entertaining and worth watching in spite of the loose ends in the finale. Creepy as hell, mostly in a good way. (Although there were a few times I had to fast-forward through parts. I have a low "ick" level about some things.)

Very side note - the guy who played Justin is apparently the voice of Mr. Krabs on Spongebob Squarepants. TRY AND WRAP YOUR MIND AROUND THAT ONE. I refuse to believe that voice comes out of that man.

And now I'm headed to bed.
