SGA 4x01, 4x02

I decided to watch SGA for some unknown reason, never mind the fact that I haven't watched SGA since about 1x02... Oh right, I think the reason involved boredom and drinking.

So the first ten minutes John spends his time underfoot, asking stupid questions and handling leadership badly in a crisis. Atlantis is in good hands! *thumbs up*

Hey look, it's Sam! Am I supposed to boo here or...?

Awww. They had to shave Weir for her departure. Um, her head. *has classic Who flashbacks with Peri*

Yes, thank you. Send John out in one of those little ships. Give him something to do. Wait, he's not out in one of those ships? I'm confused. But McKay is? Uh, doesn't he have more important things to do on the base? No, hang on. John is out in a ship. I think. He is. Was.

Yeah, reactivating Replicator nanites? That is not going to end well. Duh. John just redeemed himself by making the tough decision to say no to that, even if it could save Weir's life. But McKay does it anyway. Huh. The McKay I remember from SG-1 days would have listed off all the reasons why it would be a very bad idea (in a cold bastard sort of way), and then walked away. I think I miss jackass!McKay.

But Weir's hair is back! Which is good as no one should be without hair.

Hmm. I know some like the banter between John and McKay, but...so far it just sounds like 5-year-olds whining and I can't quite figure out *why* they keep bickering when eminent death is all around them. Makes them sound like dipshits. John a bit more since it seems like he's usually the one to start the whining bicker. I suddenly have the urge for someone from BSG – anyone from BSG – to swing by, tell them to shut the frack up and get back to work.

Wait. So McKay made the replicators basically harmless and uncommunicative in Weir, but yet they're going to use her on the replicator planet? Um... Oh. McKay's going to use Weir to hack into the replicator mainframe. Well, guess it's better than using an iMac.

I think I like Sam's hair like that. And it has nothing to do with the fact that I often have my hair clipped back like that. Nope. /shallow

Wait, what? The replicators have been around since the time of the Ancients? Didn't that one robot chick on that planet create the replicators, and that robot chick was created by a human descendant of the disbursal of slaves by Ra? Which only happened 4000 years or so ago? OH, and didn't human-like replicators *just* come into being not too long ago? o_O

Awww. Do they really need to pack up Weir's stuff? Aren't there like a million rooms on Atlantis? They could have made it the Weir room.

So Weir will be back, right? They left that wide open. Of course, she could be good or EVIL. Heh. Or Queen of The Replicators! HA! That'd be cool.
