Speaking of politics, I had lunch with my parents yesterday. I had no idea my Dad was that pissed at Bush. Now these are people who have voted the Republican party line probably all their lives. One of my earliest memories is asking them to whisper who they voted for in my ear. I remember they both said Ford - you know, after Watergate. I'm sure they voted for Nixon prior to that. So long history there.

Yesterday my Dad was MAD. He was talking about Bush raping America and so on. I've never heard him use words like that when it's come to politics before. He's also fairly disgusted by the choice of Sarah Palin for the ticket, saying she's in no way ready for the national stage.

They already voted and it went to Obama. You know, a Democrat. Now I think I've seen everything. :D
My Mom turned up with info on this guy (I mentioned a week or so ago) who's running against that woman who stuck her foot in her mouth about Obama having anti-American views. Turns out he's the son of my Mom's 1st cousin. But a strange generational thing going on since this Elwyn person is about the same age as my Mom, so her cousin was her Dad's age... *points arrows all over the place* Long story short (too late), he's my 2nd cousin. :D
