Hmm. After last night's ep, I think I may finally be seeing the BSG light.

This was by far the most interesting episode to me yet. After last night, it was like I was finally starting to see what people are going on about. The episodes before? Not so much. So much Starbuck angst. Of course, I want to see the next part NOW.
The Helo subplot both fascinates and bores me. On the one hand it's like watching a rat in a maze - one that's controlled by some sadistic scientist. On the other hand, I find those parts really boring. You know he'll never get off the planet, and if he does, the fleet is long gone. (And if he manages to catch up with the fleet, I'll be disappointed because *the fleet is long gone*.)
I still don't get Apollo's character. (No, I can't remember anyone's real names yet.) I get everyone else but not him. I need something more than just "good guy."
I am afeard of all the Adama/Starbuck fic that will be out there because EW.

They are the main characters I think. Laura Roslin's assistant is Billy something. There's the bridge officer Lt. something-or-other. I just can't remember right now - and I've seen all 13 episodes!

My problem is I vaguely remember watching the original and so to me everyone is "the Starbuck one" or "the Boomer one" or "the Daggit one" in my mind yet. :D

It was called "Act of Contrition". No idea why they don't put the episode names at the beginning.

Hee, the second part is even better than the first if you ask me. Starbuck eps are the best ones around. The two episode after this are a bit slow going and then there are some more kick ass ones.

Apollo's character is the one I get the least too. Sometimes he's just the good guy, sometimes he's a complete ass. (And yes Lee/Kara is completely emotional incest that right now squicks me.)

The Helo storyline will get interesting. He pretty much is a rat in a maze but just wait as it *is* going somewhere.

Watch the dynamic when Lee, Adama, and Roslin are in the same room together. It is so much the kid and two parents.

Plus, in the last ep, the perfect scene in Bastille Day... "He is *your* son."

Dude. They're going to all end up related in some way, aren't they? Later we'll find out that Boxey is Starbuck's long lost kid... :D

I'm not going to hint at spoilers because that's just mean. But I will say that I trust TPTB on this show more than I think I've *ever* trusted any PTB. They have a clear reason for (pretty much) everything, and they don't do red herrings. Everything you want to know more about, and everything you hope they'll come back to? You will, and they will.

I've been crazy about the show from the start, but as I commented to someone else, I love the show even more after last night's ep. I love to get emotionally into an ep when I'm watching, and my god was I emotional last night. This show rocks my world. Glad to have more company!

I still don't get Apollo's character.

You're not alone. I think it may be intentional ... kinda keeping the audience off balance just like Adama, since I don't think Adama has quite figured out his son yet.

I hadn't been at the crazy level before. I enjoyed it but it wasn't rocking my socks. Last night was the first time I felt like I actually cared about some of the characters.

I briefly wondered if his two-dimensionality was intentional on the part of the PTB for reasons like that, but decided that either way, I was still irked by it.
