Suppose I have to go to work today, huh?

Wow. That was really boring to me. Someone else may have enjoyed it, but to me it was a complete snore-fest. Apparently the writers are still trying to make us care about the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle, the previews being all ominous, trying to make us think that "OMG maybe Kate will sleep with Sawyer! Noooooooooo!" Frankly, Kate could sleep with the boar for all I care. Anyhoo, it's hard to care about any other pairings when the fluffiest pairing in the land is around - Charlie and Claire. (OMG, like puppies getting married!)

And the whole boar tying into Sawyer's past was okay. Having Locke spell it out to us that Sawyer was chasing his past was unnecessary. It was like the writers were talking to the audience as if they were a slow child. But yeah. Boring. Frankly, I kept changing the channel.

I'm just full of crankiness this morning. Was it just me, or did they completely dumb down Josh for this episode? I'm not sure if they were trying to highlight Santos' nobility or what, but chickens? Yeah right. Nothing I've ever seen of Josh's character would ever have him do stupid stuff like that in a presidential campaign. What happened to "brilliant strategist" Josh? What happened to the guy who refused to call Santos by his first name because it wasn't presidential? Even though we got to see Donna fighting with a giant chicken, that was just plain stupid. And weird. Bleh.

Huh. I guess Luke really isn't in love with Lorelai. Otherwise he wouldn't have had such a lame excuse to break up with her. Sure her family is psychotic, but is that any reason not to be with her? But this is sweeps month and so we've gotta go through the drama. (I still think a better breakup would have been over Luke's planning in their relationship. He's got this whole plan of their future after reading that book and I could see Lorelai having a serious freakout because of that.) But anyway, I suppose we'll have the breakup through February - maybe even the rest of the season. But they'll get back together. Like duh!

I thought this episode wasn't quite as boring as last week's, but I was playing on the computer and therefore only giving it half my attention. Personally, I was bored to tears by Charlie's backstory in the last ep. I guess I find Sawyer a little more interesting.

Why can't they do another Sayid ep? He's lovely.

Yeah, it probably comes down to what characters you're interested in. I'll admit that I really don't care much about Sawyer in general, so an episode focusing on him naturally wouldn't be all that interesting to me. Although I did really enjoy the earlier backstory episode about him.

Another problem for me might be that I feel like we've already gone one round of backstories for everyone and I'd like to see some stories about the present - the new relationships they're forming, problems on the island, etc.

I can only speak to Lost and West Wing...but crap TV at it's finest! Are the writer's too damned lazy to give us a decent story?

HA! Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with last night's shows.

The only part of the Sawyer story I found remotely interesting was him meeting up with Jack's father.

Oh and the "I've never won pink...It was the 80's." BWAH! Saywer was such a Don Johnson wannabe.

Otherwise, I don't give a rat's butt for Jack/Kate/Sawyer.

Once again, I'm glad to spare myself the torture of watching the current season of GG. It's much less painful to just read summeries.

I think they're having one of their best seasons ever, actually. The only one better was S2.

Awww, but you're missing out on Luke/Lorelai goodness!

Well, after last year's JAG, I decided that for some shows I like to know how it's going to end up before watching. *shrugs*

I don't know the specifics, but I heard that JAG viewers got screwed somehow last season. Or at least there were a lot of people who were giving up on it. Bah.

I can actually see Luke being in love with Lorelai yet being freaked out by Christopher. He probably already had some fears about Lorelai leaving him someday for Rory's dad, and the fact that she kept that secret can only have made those fears worse. (Why hide it if there's nothing to hide?) He's not the most confident guy when it comes to relationships, and I can imagine him panicking and needing to step away right now. Anyway, there are people who are in love but still can't make the relationship work. The one does not necessarily lead to the other.

I was surprised they didn't fix it by the end of the episode, but, you know, sweeps.

I just couldn't buy it. It was a 180 turnaround from where he was in that episode they kept referring to. Maybe if they hadn't kept bringing up that "I'm all in" stuff, I would have believed it. But this way it didn't seem like enough of a reason for him to break up with her.

Mwahaha! Charlie...Claire...Fluffy Cuteness!!! Could it be any sweeter crack? *snicker* I LOVE them! :P And when Charlie asks her at the end *goofy grin* Awwwwwwwwwwwww *huggles Charlie*

So. Frickin'. Cute.

Sawyer...*slaps him upside the head* What is WRONG with him?! *slaps writers upside the head* They had a chance to let him be decent for once and actually tell Jack that he met his Dad but noooo they had to have him give the evil little smirk *gah!*

That I could see him not telling Jack. After all, he does *not* like Jack. But who knows - he could bring it up down the road. But yeah, that evil act is annoying. Bleh.

Sayid is hot! And he so needs more story lines...MINUS Boone's spoiled ass sister!

Jack...I love Jack, but I think that might have more to do with me seeing Charlie Salinger everytime I look at him *snicker* But they need more interesting stories for Jack!

He's more just...there for me. Don't love him but I don't hate him. I just wish they'd lay off the Jack/Kate/Sawyer stuff. It seemed way too early in the series for something like that - that kind of stuff is more of a season 3 drama.

Kate...*argh* I'm tired of her and her oh I can persuade Sawyer to do my bidding *gag* Like get the two loons on the show together and have done with it so we can concentrate on the crack that is Charlie and Claire :P

And like...they've been on the island for a month...how far along was Claire when she got on the plane cause like she looks like she's ready to pop, and unless she's having an elephant shouldn't she be having the kid like super soon??

No kidding! But they'll have the birth as the season finale I'm sure for, you know, the drama.

LOL! I suppose that's true:P He doesn't like Jack, but for one brief moment I thought OMG! They're actually going to have Sawyer be human! Then the evil smile and yeah bleh! Bored now :P And the triangle thing...GOD! I just try really really hard to pretend it doesn't exist.

I think too many shows think they need some kind of realtionship between the main characters to keep people's interest. I mean hey, sex is fine lol but my God! they don't need EVERYONE to be sleeping with someone or trying to sleep with someone or pretending they're sleeping with someone lol.

I think once they concentrate on the sexual relationships of the show they lose the ability to come up with interesting plots that don't consist of the main characters making passes at each other or prancing around half dressed on screen.

Oh to have writers actually concerned with the *gasp* PLOT! :P

Although *snicker* I wouldn't mind them getting Charlie and Claire together *snerk* ;)

I think sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It just depends on the style, pacing, plots, etc. of the show. One show that I think went really downhill once they started getting into all that was ER. Once they left the emergency room and started having episodes outside of that, I lost interest.

However I think it does work to focus on relationships in a show like The West Wing where, although it's a show about the White House on the surface, it's the interpersonal relationships that drive it.

I take it all on a case-by-case basis. *g*

I know! It seemed like yet another faux argument and so I was surprised when he actually broke it off. It really didn't make a lot of sense other than it's February ratings sweeps.

I want to know when they will get to Hurley's backstory. They've every other major character except him *pouts*

I had forgotten that we hadn't seen anything about him yet. Which is sad, really.

and he is the one who we know nothing about - everybody alse seems to have gone through some trouble before arriving on the island yet Hurly seems to be a happy go lucky kinda guy - I really really want to find out about him....

Hmmm. Maybe he wasn't on the plane either... ;)
