A couple more recs.
In my attempt to read every long fic in Sherlock fandom, I've got a couple more to rec.
The dangerous book for boys by
orange_crushed. Sherlock/John, PG-13. This is a high school AU, which I normally would flee from, but read anyway because it's
orange_crushed. And damned if she didn't somehow make it work! *is impressed*
Major Pieces by Lindentreeisle. Gen, Teen. (Even though it's rated Teen, it's got images of very graphic violence - heed the Notes on this fic. Seriously.) This fic was 100% brilliant. It completely captures the characters while deftly plotting out a mystery. Especially impressive was how well they got into both John's and Sherlock's heads - their motivations, thought processes, etc. REALLY fantastic.
