I am not arguing this in two comment threads (lol sure) but EVEN IF HE GETS TO A HAPPY PLACE, WHY WOULD I WANT TO READ ABOUT BABIES?
AND WHY WOULD THEY EVEN WANT TO HAVE ONE? ONE OF THEM OR BOTH OF THEM WOULD HAVE TO SACRIFICE DOING SOMETHING THEY LOVE TO LOOK AFTER THE KID, OR THE KID WOULD BE DUMPED ON JACKIE AND THEN THEY MIGHT AS WELL NOT HAVE HAD IT.
I'm not even saying this to joke around, though: I legitimately cannot think of a way where babyfic ends happily. Like, it would be the angstiest thing I've ever written.
I... realise that looking through my latest fic tags will not give this impression, but I DON'T ACTUALLY LIKE WRITING PURE CRACK FIC. XD Like, I will write a fic with the most absurd situation possible (erm... Four Weddings) but I have to try and make the characters react in the way I think they would.
I mean, obvs I've written babyfic in the past, and read and enjoyed it, and I could still to some extent read-and-enjoy these days, but even the best written babyfic would be like reading s2 sex: "nice fic but THIS ISN'T REAL" would be going through my head.
I swear I've been spending too much time reading Sherlock fic where trying to make something relate to canon isn't even a factor. (I used to loathe that kind of fic. What happened?)
I honestly think that Doctor would be really pleased. Idk if it's something Rose wants (at least not like right after JE) though. But I do think the Doctor would be really happy about having a kid.
Every time I try to think of the Doctor and Rose with a baby who isn't Tony, I keep coming up with a blank. Maybe it has something to do that I can't even see Cloen being able to take care of a pet rock let alone a child.
I mean, he was a father once obviously, but I guess I can't really see the Doctor and Rose with children except maybe years and years down the line. Or if like, they pick up strays who just sort of become their kids.

XD
Rose: So where's your pet rock?
Doctor: I let it out in the garden to play! Rocks need playtime, Rose!
Rose: Erm, there are loads of rocks out there. Which one is it?
Doctor: ... CRAP.

I could totally see strays. :D A hamster, a pig, a 5-year-old...
Mycroft still couldn’t figure out how his adorable, baby brother had got so hostile. It seemed like one day Sherlock had been perfectly compliant with Mycroft’s efforts to protect him, and the next Sherlock was screaming “Leave me alone!” at the top of his lungs. They had been baby Sherlock’s first words, actually.
I almost clicked the Reinette one, but I decided it was just too mean.
(The fact that I know who Reinette is disturbs me slightly.)
Knowledge through osmosis! XD
I ♥ my new icon, man.
Oooh, I have a fic for you! Which has nothing to do with Torchwood, but everything to do with my constant battle to get you to like Sherlock more than Torchwood.
The Adventure of the Illustrious Idiot (http://archiveofourown.org/works/281919)
It's a funny retelling of a Sherlock Holmes story, so an actual case is involved! It's sarcastic Sherlock POV. :D
"Well, Sir James, you can inform your client that I'm turning my attention to Baron Gruner. I won't say any more. I have some sources of information of my own, and I dare say we may find some means of opening the matter up.”
I thought that was an impressively mysterious way of saying that I knew how to use Google, even if he didn't.
I checked two to indicate that by the time they had a kid, assuming it had been a while, he would freak out with joy over having another person to run around the universe with, also, didn't you write something about cubes and/or baby tails? I like the completely divergent expectations in that situation.

Basically, I want me work to give me the tablet-laptop they have for people who work from home so I can draw it using a stylus in MS Paint.
