Just watched Hallowe'en Party again.

I've decided that I want Ariadne to move in with Poirot (living on the opposite sides of the flat/house to maintain a tasteful distance) and they can solve crimes together FOREVER. Forget Captain Hastings. I much prefer to watch Poirot with Ariadne.

P.S. I'll probably skip watching Curtain when it comes out. The premise is depressing as hell, and I much prefer open-endedness to these types of characters.

Also, it has Agatha Christie in it! Well, Fenella Woolgar or whatever her name is. I AM NOW FORCED TO ASSUME AGATHA CHRISTIE ACTUALLY WITNESSED THIS.

It took me a minute to figure out where I knew her from. PERSONAL CANON.

lol I watch all my British TV these days hunting for DW actors. For now she is my prime suspect solely because SHE WAS ON DOCTOR WHO. XD

I quite like Ariadne. Sometimes, I think of her as Christie's best self-insert, which makes her sort of more awesome.

And while I vaguely miss Hastings, I do like her a bit better. If only because she's snarkier. (and Curtain shall be saaaad, but it will be awesome if they get them all done)

Incidentally, re-watching the updated Marple version of A Murder is Announced is disconcerting. Ariadne's actress is in it (then again, the Marples have been very "spot the actor you saw in Doctor Who/Midsommer Murders/Poirot" as a whole, so I should be surprised).

I know David Suchet is thrilled they're going to be doing the last ones. A complete set!
