My flist has exploded with reactions from the TVD season finale.
Elena didn't choose college, but instead some manpire? And now she's a vampire and so has to deal with vampire nonsense forever? FU SHOW. FU. NOW SHE CAN NEVER GET AWAY.
Normally Tumblr has me flouncing in rage because the Dude's Dick shippers (ie the ones who love the dude in a ship and hate the girl) are so gross and stupid and wrong, but I was hella entertained the little I was on Tumblr last night. So many "creys" and "feelz" and wrath at TPTB.
Meanwhile I was just happy Elijah didn't die and that he and Elena made another deal and he dealt with HER and not the dudes and I love my never-gonna-happen OTP.

That scene was admittedly perfect. He said and did basically exactly all the right things. From essentially telling the boys to shut it, he makes deals with Elena damn it; to assuring her that he'd keep Klaus boxed up for a couple generations for her sake because of course Elijah assume she's going to have and get a nice long human life.
Which is why I'm really interested in seeing him go ape shit when he finds out what happened; nice hat trick Bekah to piss of two Salvatore brothers and one of your own and probably Katherine who we know doesn't to compete with Elena for all eternity.
honestly i have no idea what to think. we have what Elena says she wants - and then we have Damon telling her what she wants. and they are two different things. as an elena- centric fan, the delena doesn't work for me. but considering this show only cares about Damon, Damon/Elena fans should rejoice. I guess.
They retconned the beginning of S1 so that Damon met her first. The writers are clearly prioritizing D/E at this point.
Elena becoming a vampire is kind of a game changer for me, though? I never could have really believed Damon/Elena with Elena as a human but I could buy it with her as a vampire.
it's just i don't get why they don't write D/E as Elena choosing Damon instead everyone around her telling her what she should want. What Elena wants has never been all consuming love that's dangerous. So IDK. I half think the writers are going to go on the passion of Damon/Elena but then end up with Stefan/Elena.
I honestly just want her to choose them both. She loves them both. Who she wants to kiss is a minor thing all considered.

Forget Elena's tragic life, I think Jeremy's life is now officially the WORST. He's lost all four of his parental figures; his first two girlfriends died; AND NOW HIS SISTER IS A VAMPIRE. Suck to be Jeremy.
UGH YEAH PRETTY MUCH. And the forced triangle issues got set up to become worse in the ep. I want Elena, Katherine, and Caroline to just go on a roadtrip and charm their way into college somewhere, the end.
Okay, so the way I understand it , these vampires, are forever in high school. So when they graduate do they just enroll again as a freshman, and do it all over again? And again, and again? Eternal high school, yuck.
Yeah, you'd think they'd just set themselves up as billionaires someplace where no one would expect them to go to high school no matter what age they look.
