More Marple on Netflix instant! Okay, yes, I've watched all these before, but it's been a while!

Jane Marple remains utterly awesome.
"I am Nemesis" is a great line when delivered by a little old lady who deserves the title. (I would like to see an adaptation that delves a bit more into this potentially dark side of her. I've seen both the Hickson version and the McEwan version, but I'd like something a bit more...more.)
My favorite fanon (completely ignoring time settings) is that Jane is the Great Aunt of modern Sherlock. She took him along on cases when he was wee, and occasionally visits him with much ear pinching and to show him how murders should be solved. John wishes she would visit more because of the awesome and the Sherlock ear pinching, and has jumpers she's knitted for him.
For the most part I do like the current adaptations of the stories, even though they practically rewrite them many times. It's the same with modern Sherlock - it's inspired by rather than a faithful telling. I don't mind, really.
I've learned that you never ever ever should be alone while in England. YOU NEED AN ALIBI FOR EVERY MOMENT FOR WHEN THE BODY TURNS UP. AND THERE WILL BE A BODY.

I love the idea of Miss Marple being modern Sherlock's great aunt. Imagine the adventures! I would love to read a fic like that.

There's similar fanon held by many fans of Castle - that Jessica Fletcher of Murder, She Wrote is Richard Castle's aunt: that she not only taught him how to solve murders, but how to write mystery novels as well! (Though some fanon/fic hold that Castle doesn't know she was involved in solving real murders until she comes to visit him in NYC and someone at NYPD knows her from back in the day...)

They are fun! Although these are the newer ones - the ones that started airing in 2004 and are still in production. HOW OLD ARE YOU?? :D

I really sort of love it! Especially the thought of tiny Jane Marple kicking Sherlock's ass. XD

I also like the idea that Peter Guilliam - from Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - is Mycroft and Sherlock's uncle on their mother's side.

I woke up this morning with the urge to watch me some Marple and / or Poirot. It's been ages so I felt it well overdue. I feel that pretty much every single British actor has been in either show; I love watching them just to go 'ooooh', it's the dude from the thing! And the other one! And another one! I'm easily overexcited.

:D I feel the need to cycle through them again every once in a while.

And it usually takes me embarrassingly long to recognize people. XD

Also, I remember liking Miss Marple when I was a kid... you've inspired me to go back and watch them again! :)

It makes me a bit wary of ever visiting the UK!
