Apparently Tom Hiddleston should be the 12th Doctor. :D (Sorry Benedict Cumberbatch, tumblr is through with you for 12.)
The new companion is THE MOST INTERESTING AND SPECIAL AND DIFFERENT CHARACTER EVER. Lawd, Moffat. (Although to be fair, this was the exact same statement given for new people during the RTD years as well.) At least they've ruled out her being Jenny/River/Rose's daughter/Romana since they said she has no connection to any previous characters. But still, she'll probably be part of ghost mice taking over the planet through some prophesy made 1000 years ago by a mysterious person (later revealed to be the Doctor), which will result in her being The Chosen One who must reverse time and then reorder it through... Well, you know how Moffat arcs go.
We're not allowed to compare things since everything is brilliant and sparkly - if you never ever ever think about anything else it's perfect. (So you'll sit through The Godfather 3 AND LIKE IT, GODDAMNIT.)

Poor Clara. I want to like her so bad but I am so sure that her plotline is going to be fucking terrible because Moffat is writing it so it can't be anything but.

lol I didn't mean to hit post so soon. BUT YEAH I am excited for JLC on one hand because I'm SO OVER the Ponds, and the show really needs some fresh blood, + I think JLC is really cute. On the other hand I know Clara's story will be a hot mess, so even if JLC manages to endear her to me the way Karen managed to endear Amy Pond, it won't really be the kind of companion story I want. Bleh.
lol it is a ~*spiritual tattoo that his race all has/had. (I WILL USE PAST TENSE BECAUSE MOST OF THEM DIED. This is a common link in shows I watch I guess.)
But mostly I think it's because the animators figured it would look cool if it glowed:
Superwholock is a crossover of Supernatural, Doctor Who and Sherlock. Dump in a bowl and stir. :D
(Doctor Who and Supernatural I can sort of see, although even the Doctor Who universe doesn't do supernatural - it's always aliens. But throwing Sherlock in makes no sense to me since that universe has absolutely no sci-fi elements.)
I am excited for some fresh meat on the show. But I have zero faith in Moffat's ability to create characters, so I'm not looking forward to Clara as much as I might be.
I enjoyed Avengers but I was trying to explain the plot to someone recently which forced me to realize it makes no real sense. But it's fun in a blockbustery way.
