Ice Pop update

Blended up watermelon and blueberries gets a thumbs up from me! Nothing else added, and I didn't measure or anything. Just threw in some chunks of watermelon and a handful of blueberries.

At first when I tasted it in liquid form I wasn't impressed. It tasted pretty watery and didn't seem to have a lot of flavor. But for some reason in frozen form it's pretty good.

I've been starting to make ice pops too! I'll try the watermelon and blueberries, with blueberries in season now. I just did the recipe I'm seeing everywhere with watermelon and mint, and... bleah. It was like... one of those things where the first taste was really great, and then every one after that got worse and worse until I decided I really didn't like them at all. Which is odd, because I love watermelon and I love mint to a bizarre degree. But... I don't know. Maybe it was the fresh mint. Kind of bitter in some way? Maybe it would be better with peppermint flavoring instead.

I really, really like vanilla yogurt and strawberries, blended into a frozen smoothie pop.

I can see getting tired of watermelon and mint. It sounds like something that you couldn't eat much of.

MMMMMM. Smoothie pop. :D

:D

You probably could use regular milk instead. My standard is almond milk so that's what I used.

And I'm a three bears person when it comes to sweetness. XD

try this book--the local ice pop maker has it on her shelf. (by the way, if you should happen to encounter Front Porch Pops they are definitely worth a try. Just skip Monkey gone to Heaven since it's dark chocolate and banana.
