- Why the crap did they hover an aircraft carrier? It would burn an absolute insane amount of energy for...what? Why couldn't they go invisible while floating in the ocean? Seriously, this bugged me most out of everything. XD
- I guess they did a decent job of writing for an ensemble. I don't care about all of them, but they did seem to all get good screen time.
- Tony will always be my favorite. My interest in what was going on was directly related to if he was on the screen. And the Pepper stuff was cute!
- Thor and Captain America were marginally more interesting than they were in their own movies. Just. I still don't care a bit about them though. The arrow dude was also pretty meh. The three of them could have been absent from the movie and I wouldn't have felt I was missing a thing.
- Natasha was awesome. Why hasn't there been a movie of her yet? I'd watch it.
- I don't really care about the Hulk, but Tony-Bruce bromance for the win! :D They need to build lots of stuff together.
- Loki as the villain...eh. Seems like they could have dropped in any megalomaniac in that role and it would have been the same. Loki as the villain in Thor was interesting. In this he was pretty generic.
- So I guess I just want another Iron Man movie where Bruce hangs out and Natasha drops by to smack a few people around.
- And Fury is at the end of the movie, burning a crapload of energy for no reason. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? WHY? DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH LIFT YOU WOULD NEED FOR THAT KIND OF WEIGHT? IT BOGGLES THE MIND! PHYSICS, DAMN YOU.

Basically what most of the internet is asking. But nope, Ant Man will get a movie... Black Widow will not. :|
Hawkeye and her will appear in the next Capt. America movie... not sure about the next Iron Man movie, though.

All those sucked-up birds...

*looks up Ant Man* A guy who changes size. Huh. That sounds even less interesting than Captain America or Superman to me. Well done, comics.

BAH. I don't want to have to watch another Captain America movie just to watch her.

Lucky for me I like the Captain so it won't be a chore. :D But yeah, it's a tragedy she won't have her own movie, especially because the character is SO interesting and has an amazing backstory. But let's focus on a guy who can shrink himself and will eventually go mad and beat his wife. -.- Another win for Hollywood.

so that they can have lots of dirty sexwhere they are just awesome spies. Heck, I'd be fine with a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie so we'd get bonus!Maria kicking butt too. Also, SCIENCE BROS FTW!

Natasha is my favourite and I walked out of Avengers shipping her and Clint like whoa, so Clint is interesting to me in relation to her (plus, I have a soft-spot for normal humans who fight alongside superheroes).
But I would kill for a Black Widow movie! I'm just sure that, if it happens, it'll be a movie about her and Hawkeye since they meshed their backstories and made them a team of sorts.
After those two, Tony is the best. I love him so much and Pepper is my favourite superhero-girlfriend ever. I would watch a whole film of RDJ and GP adlibbing off each other in character (which is apparently where 90% of their dialogue in the two Iron Man movies came into being).
I liked Thor much MUCH better in Avengers than in his movie, mostly because he'd already learned not to be an utter douche so I didn't spend 3/4 of the movie thinking 'Why does anyone like this person? Jane, what are you thinking? There are nicer guys out there with muscles just as shiny!' and Captain America still leaves me with the impression of him being a nice character but nothing special or exciting. I thought Bruce was really good, but mostly because he played off of the rest of the characters so well (his bromance with Tony is awesome!). I liked the comedic moments with The Hulk, too, but I care little about that side of Bruce otherwise.
Also, I am so disappointed that they made Loki so irredeemable, because I always thought he should be an anti-hero not an out and out villain. I'm sure they'll TRY redeeming him (because DAMN is his actor popular) but I tend to lose personal interest in villains once they've crossed the moral horizon.

I can't say I ship them, but I'm not opposed. :D

That could be part of why I just wasn't that interested in him this time around. There really wasn't anything to him other than "LOL I WILL RULE YOU ALL."

I want to watch the movie where Clint (arrow guy) and Natasha first meet. They need to make that.

I will say that my interest in the various Avengers was like, Tony > Natasha > Thor >>>> Cap >>>>>>>>>>> Robin Scherbatsky (she's not even an Avenger and I was still more intrigued because t least it's Robin Sparkles) >>> Hulk >>>>>>> Clint. Poor, boring Clint.

Tony > Natasha > Bruce (excluding the Hulk) > Robin Scherbatsky > Clint-Thor-Captain
I couldn't decide who would be at the bottom of those three. :D

I only found out recently that Ant-Man was a real superhero and not a joke someone made up to reference spider-man.

I'm pretty sure the main reason for this is EVERY FANBOY EVER LOVES THAT THING IT'S SO FREAKING COOL OMG!!! *cough* Also, in theory, the helicarrier could go more places than a regular one as it could also go over land.

Pretty much what every right-thinking person is asking. There desperately needs to be a Black Widow and/or a Black Widow/Hawkeye movie, stat. Not whatever stupid movies Marvel announced this summer. *throws up hands*

I don't understand why they wouldn't. I mean, she's AWESOME. And what 14-year-old boy (the prized demographic) wouldn't want to see her running around kicking ass??

Wow, my brain SO went to the gutter when I read that...;-)

It would be nice to have a Black Widow movie but I want a Guardians of the Galaxy movie not only more than I want a Black Widow movie, I want it more than I I want a movie featuring Misty Knight and Iron Fist (whom I love more than just about anyone) and all the rest of the Heroes for Hire/Daughters of the Dragon bunch. And I wanted that more than I wanted just about anything else). I understand that I speak as someone who's been reading comic since I was eight thus bear no resemblence to normal people but I love Guardians of the Galaxy more than I love the Avengers and I will be there on opening day for that movie (because if they do it right it will have a talking raccoon and an anthtropomorthized tree and those things are never not awesome)
I have no problem with the Ant-Man movie coming for two reasons 1) I like Ant-Man and 2) It's been in the pipeline for soooooo long.

Natasha definitely needs a movie.
lol loki. so pretty, so useless.

I agree. I think the reason WHY he was so compelling in Thor is because his complicated backstory/tortured soul thing + clever trickster persona. I still found him appealing in Avengers but not nearly so much so (cause y'know, killing countless people tends to do that). It was also such a big leap for the character to go from how he was in Thor to remorseless super villain in Avengers. I guess if you consider he spend who knows how many years trapped in the horrible void place it makes a LITTLE more sense, but still a bit of a stretch.
I'm a little worried about the Thor sequel. In an interview Tom apparently said: "I'd like to take [Loki] to his absolute rock bottom. I'd like to see him yield, essentially, to his darkest instincts. Then, having hit rock bottom, maybe come back up. I think the fascination for me about playing Loki is that, in the history of the mythology and the comic books and the Scandinavian myths, is he's constantly dancing on this fault line of the dark side and redemption." I'm all for the redemption, but I'm kind of scared on how far he'd have to go to hit rock bottom considering his actions in Avengers. IDK.
