Under the category of "beating a dead horse" or maybe, hell I don't know, "continued insanity while beating a dead horse," The List (aka S/J Shipper Legion of Doom) is once again on a "Daniel and all his followers are evil and can't stand the hetro sex" kick. ONCE AGAIN. AND AGAIN. AND AGAIN. AND AGAIN. It was gone for a while when He That Must Not Be Named (aka Pete) was around, but now it's back with a predictable, head-banging vengeance.

After YEARS of seeing one fandom group so frickin' obsessed with another fandom group (and from what I can tell, it's somewhat reciprocated) I have finally come to a natural conclusion: They want to sleep with each other. No no. It makes perfect sense.

S/J SHIPPERS AND DANIELITES, JUST SHAG AND GET IT OVER WITH. I'm BEGGING you.

Hee! This is when I'm glad that I dutifully kept far, far away from the fandom side of SG1 for a good year after I started watching it. Luckily I avoided wank and badfic for the most part.

So instead of being like, "OH GOD NOT AGAIN", I'm more like, "How the **** did we get from Amanda Tapping possibly being possessed by Satan to Daniel BEING Satan?"

There's a long, annoying history that goes with it. All about two groups feeling they're entitled to certain things and should get those things because they've written several hundred letters to TPTB...a piece.

If Sam and Jack don't get together on the show, it's because Daniel's around (I never quite understood that one.) Or alternatively, if the Sam/Jack thing is onscreen, there's less Daniel time...or Jack and Daniel's friendship goes bye bye...or something.

I used to be pretty neutral to letter-writing. Live and let live and all. But then a couple of years ago there was a contingent that was talking about "if Sam and Jack never get together it's all YOUR fault because you didn't write blah blah blah." Have had a loathing for it ever since.
