DW - Fear Her
Haven't checked out other comments - gotta fly in a few minutes.
REALLY liked that episode a whole lot. Probably helped that the Doctor and Rose were at 11 on a cuteness scale of 10.
"I was a dad once." Heh, bet some are not too pleased although it was *heavily* implied to the point of saying it in The Empty Child last year. But Rose was stunned. *snickers* Come on, Rose! 900 years old!
With the whole thing about the two lost souls finding each other, I kept drawing a parallel (no pun intended) to the Doctor and Rose. When they met they were both in such dead-end lives and so grabbed onto each other. Of course, with Chloe and the alien, one of the lost souls leaves...
Okay...BRING ON THE NEXT TWO. LET'S RIDE THIS BABY TO HELL. YEEEHAAA!

Oh, you know the ones who aren't are busy fanwanking it away with, "Oh, he just means he adopted Susan's mother/father, not that he actually fathered a child!" Or perhaps, "He was just a godparent with a really close relationship to the kid!"
Heh.

I have never witnessed people more committed to a person not having sex/procreating in my life...

Weren't they just? And they were so flirting. Even if the Doctor was maybe a tad oblivious. Not like that's anything unusual. The ending (with the Doctor lighting the torch) was a bit silly, but ultimately ignorable in favor of the adorableness that is them. Although I could've lived without the anvil dropping on our heads at the very end.

*sob* Nooooooo!!!! *cough* And yes, I got that too. Being fairly heavy-handed about it, I thought, actually. Yes, we get it, thanks.

Totally. I mean, TOTALLY. There was one point where even *I* was like, "OMG. They just totally had sex right there between the scene cut. o_O"

Yeah, he's so dorky. :D The cat thing. And then the grabbing her hand after saying people need a hand to hold to get through the universe.
Very side note - in the DW book The Feast of the Drowned there was a creature that used pheromones and love/fear to manipulate. You find out that the Doctor *really* isn't wired the same way as humans when it tries to use Rose against him. Really fit with his oblivious thing.

Yeah, *sigh*. It was so sweet and then BOOM.

The more I think about it, the more I don't like the parallel. I mean, I hope it's not a full parallel. The part about "you can't take her just because you're lonely...it's wrong" is a wee bit harsh if you're going to apply it to the Doctor and Rose. Maybe because they've done absolutely nothing to convince me in the last two years that Rose needs to be or is better off with humans. And unlike Chloe and the alien, the Doctor and Rose is *so* not a one-sided "taking." Rose proved that with Bad Wolf.
