Hmm. I was told I need to take vacation time. Apparently I've racked up 92 hours. Thing is, I have no idea where to go and I don't want to waste it sitting at home. But it's bloody hot out, like, everywhere.
Think I'll plot my escape this morning at least by going to Costco. Kinda handy when you're the one that gets supplies for the office and supplies include cokes...
ETA: OH! Does anyone have a good website for American-to-British translations? Not just words but phrases? (Sadly, I think I will still have to have someone check the fic to de-Americanize it after it's done and that will be a big task. Oy. I'm going to need to make cookies for whoever ends up being involved in the beta process.)

If there really is such a thing, I'd like to know too! I know, of course, of English to name-your-foreign-language, but certainly not when it's the same language! Technically. ;)

I've found a couple of slang sites, but in looking at them I don't quite believe them. Some words I can instantly translate like torch for flashlight and click for snap, but there are so many others. Plus just phrases in general. *sigh*
