PSA

Apartment complexes are NOT dorm rooms. Seriously. People *live* in apartments. People that work.

Noise problems? Complain to the landlord or property manager. If they can't or won't do anything about it, check the city/county noise ordinances, and then call the police. Try to get others in the apt. complex involved if possible.

And when I lived in the dorms (hated a lot of that, because of the partiers), I worked in various student jobs almost all the way through and needed my sleep. Wish I could have gotten in the nice, quiet honours dorm, but it always had a wait list. I did manage a private room for one and half years, and that was a major help.

Good luck on all this!

I finally yelled at them through the walls (during a break between songs) and they turned off the music right away. Maybe they didn't think I was home or maybe they didn't realize the music was that loud. Or maybe they're just DUMB. But there hasn't been a repeat performance since (and actually they hadn't been the noisy type before), so maybe they just did think I was gone.

Oh wow - you got a private room? Nice! I was pretty lucky with my roommates from Sophomore year on - we were all the type that liked to go hang out at the bar but also liked to go home by 11 or midnight to sleep. Heh.
