Ode to...something.

Hmm. Maybe the SG-1 cast can join up with BSG... Heh.

In the midst of all the letters, petitions, anti-letters, anti-petitions, "don't touch SGA, bitch!", rumors, etc. I'd thought about doing an ode to SG-1. Of course, that ode quickly turned into an ode to certain people in fandom. And after I couldn't remember if I knew nandamai before or after I started writing SG-1 fic, I gave up. I mean, I remember the marriage proposal to josephides and myself early on which was a result of the D&S fic, but it's all kinda hazy. Although, I have the feeling that proposal happened when Jojo was still a minor. Yeah, nanda's *so* going to jail.

But just so many people I've met through SG-1. Some have parted ways with me, but most are still around. It's very cool.

Over the years there was wank. There was drama. And some drama that I will NEVER tell about that still amuses me to this day.

But mostly, it was fun. Wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I'm only realising now how many of my flist I meet through SG-1. Every other post is about something to do with SG.

I'm also trying not to think back on all the times I totally over-reacted. Although I did get some glee out of posting how good the first Pete episode was. Because dude, it was good. Until he stalked her. /off-track rambling

Man, it seems like jsut the other day I was reading about the renewal of SG-1 into the 7th season on Helio, and I had no one to glee with and feeling rather lonely. At least now we have fandom friends to commiserate with for the ending.

That's one of the main things I will take with me from this fandom. The friends it gave me. I wouldn't gave gone to Ierland this summer if I hadn't met misssimm three years ago. I would have never had the wonderful memories of both Alias Cons of the past two years and everyone I met there.

But mostly, it was fun. Wouldn't have missed it for the world.
