Why isn't "amnesiatic" a word? It seems like it should be a word. Like "asthmatic" or something. No, I'm not writing an amnesia plot - just a funny little scene. Hate when the English language trips you up; when there's no one exactly right word.

I am so bad when I write a humorous scene. I *instantly* want to show it to someone to try and make them laugh. If I had a smidge less self-control, every scene would be something like, *type type type* "bwahahaha!" *posts to LJ* Structure? Plot? Who needs it when you can get a laugh?

This sounds vaguely like the time I decided poetical was a word.

Because, "Oh, that was very poetical, Rach" sounded a lot better than "poetic".

The correct word is actually amnesiac. And if you write something, it should definitely include the line, "OMG, I'm having an amnesia attack!"

And also, "God, it just sucks being amnesiac. You never know when it's going to hit. Just *boom* and you can't remember anything."
