I do have one complaint with this show - I know it's a drama, but if they can't show actual funny sketches when the show is supposed to be about Matt's oh-so-funny, cutting-edge writing, then don't show the sketches at all. That "Science Schmience" was like bad SNL from the 90s. And because of that, I totally didn't buy the laughing audience montage at the end. The rest was good. Just lay off the unfunny Studio 60 stuff.
More Matt and Danny interacting, please! :) Brad and Matthew have a *fantastic* chemistry. Yeah, the majority of the show is those two, but it really can't be enough. The beach scene! HA! "This is getting a bit homoerotic for my taste. Can't you hit me or something?" as Danny's straddling Matt on the ground. BWAH! Oh, the soon-to-be icons.
I have absolutely no desire to get into a pairing on this show, but was it my imagination or was there a Jack/Jordan vibe?
