I think I have a title for the fic! WOO.

Title: Inertia

Summary: Every body perseveres in its state of being at rest or of moving uniformly straight ahead, except insofar as it's compelled to change its state by forces impressed.

No, not Earth-shattering, but it's simple and it fits the fic. *BOOGIES DOWN*

Now I just need to start going over the beta notes...

Perhaps a random question:

Rose is on the same show as Nine, but Ten is airing now?

I *really* should just find it and watch it. Silly school (not to mention budget!) for getting in my way!

Right. The ninth incarnation/body of the Doctor (Chris E.) only lasted for one series/season and then he "regenerated" into the tenth. (David T.)

Yes! Silly school!

...but they kept Rose?

And the one in your picture is....Ten?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Rose didn't change. The concept is that the Doctor - an alien - is able to cheat death by changing bodies when mortally wounded/damaged. Pretty much, it's a way to keep the show going when actors want to leave. :D

Oh, wrong Doctor? Whoops!

[identity profile] kammgirl.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
But but it's your fault posting the purdy pictures.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, *you're* not making it easy to pretend that Doomsday never happened...

Did I say "pretend"? Didn't happen. Nope. What the hell's Doomsday? Sounds like an Austin Powers movie to me.

Actually it's the title of an episode of the new Fantastic Four cartoon airing on Cartoon Network. ^_^

Well, there you go! Totally relates to a stretchy dude rather than any sort of gut-wrenching ripping apart of two people next up for a slot on Cute Overload. Not that I know anything about that.

Oooooh. I think I like it. *thumbs up*

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

[identity profile] noblealice.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
YAY! How exciting! *does the title-dance which does NOT resemble the sexy-back dance*

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
YAY!!

*also dances...*

Wait. Do want to know what the "sexy-back dance" is?

[identity profile] noblealice.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Do I want to know what the "sexy-back dance" is?

Not if you want your mind free of Justin Timberlake's unfortunately addicting song.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Never heard it before, so I am SAFE. :D

[identity profile] noblealice.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? Then you are quite lucky!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
However, I do have the Pirates of the Caribbean song stuck in my head at the moment. *sigh*

[identity profile] noblealice.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha ha. It's raining here, so I've got that old TV theme song "Have you met the suntots/smoggies?" running on a loop in my head.

[identity profile] noblealice.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Smoggies

I'm a true product of the 80's *blush*

I wish I could find a good picture of them for you. Suffice it to say...very annoying song!!!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Also, almost every episode had the Suntots outsmart the Smoggies in their latest scheme, after which the Smoggies would invariably hatch another scheme to steal the island's 'magic coral' (which the Smoggies believe will grant eternal youth) or to harvest the rare Echo-Tree, a species of plant that is similar to magic coral in its youth-giving properties.

HEE!!! It's just so wonderfully bizarre. :D

[identity profile] noblealice.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Success! I found lyrics!! (which are just as bizarre)

Smoggies, Smoggies,
Smokey, oily, greasy,
Smoggies, Smoggies,
Smokey, oily, greasy,

Have you met the Smoggies?
We love the soot and grime,
We make the whole world dirty,
And we have a real good time.
We love to make things messy,
Just as dirty as can be,
And you can bet we'll mess you up ecologically <---- great piece of rhyming!!

Sun-tots, Sun-tots,
Earth and wind and sea and..
Sun-tots, Sun-tots,
Earth and wind and sea and..
Make way for the Sun-tots.
A neat and tidy crew,
We'll stay young forever,
And we want the same for you,
If we get your magic coral,
Then forever young we'll be,
Do you think you'll find it somewhere in the clear blue sea?

Sun-tots, Sun-tots,
Earth and wind and sea and..
Sun-tots, Smoggies - Woh!
We use the water, wind and sun,
To make our homes and gadgets run,
Where else can you have such fun, environmentally.

Come and see our island,
And smell the sweet, sweet breeze,
Where we'll live for ever, just as happy as can be,
With the Sun-tots and the Smoggies,
To the way the world could be,
A messy mess or shiny clear, ecologically.

Wow, that's...yeah. :D

Sound great, I like it!

It skillfully hides the wonderful silliness with its intellectual soundingness.

Yay! :)

It skillfully hides the wonderful silliness with its intellectual soundingness.

Doesn't it though? :D Makes it sound all dignified and such!
