• Acquired a Starbucks mug that has an octopus with fangs and an eyepatch. Why? Because it has an *octopus* with *fangs* and an *eyepatch!* Excellent. ETA:
  
  
  
  
• It's now smokey down here, San Diego way. It was quite smokey up in OC this morning when I left, but it *was* clear down here. Looks like the smoke's now made its way to SD from Palm Springs. Unless there are some fires around here too... Bleh.

Oh cool! My mom lives in La Mesa (the house where I grew up), my Dad in Coronado.

And I honestly don't know...I kinda closeted myself away in the house today, so I haven't been outside to see/smell. *g*

I love getting down to Coronado! Cool place to hang out. Have never made it to La Mesa before though.

Yeah, Coronado's got a nice small-town feel to it, but without the small-town isolation. *g*

La Mesa's nice too, although since I grew up there it still sometimes feels like nothing special just due to the familiarity, y'know? Still, next time I'm down, we'll definitely have to meet if I can make time. :-)
