That's a lot of roses.
Since it's 2007, can we stop with the 80s-Up-With-People-style music in parades? And you gotta love the cheesy announcers. (One of whom I've listened to covering the parade since I was a kid.) The guy's giving a fairly uninteresting babble about horses' ears, and when he's done:
Woman: So, is it the same with llamas?
*a pause where the guy was undoubtedly thinking, "WTF? Llamas?"*
Man: No.
Oooh! Breakfast casserole's done!
ETA: Star Wars floats! And a battalion of Stormtroopers! HEE! (Hope my little nephew got to see that.)
ETA2: If you feel like watching some of the parade, they're having live coverage.

I actually loved that bit. Was also endlessly entertained by her insistence on referring to "Chewie Chewbacca" as if it were a first and last name. She did it about four times. *snerk*
I loved seeing the Stormtroopers, but almost immediately realized it must be breaking my honorary little brother's heart (he was the Ohio garrison commander for a couple years) not to be there because he's in Iraq. :-(
The Twi'lek drill team, however, was the BEST THING EVER.

Yeah! What was that about? I miss Stephanie Edwards.

Awww. :( That's a shame he's missing it.

Happy 30th, Star Wars! :D
