*BOUNCE*

Read...okay, was sent details on the series ending of Torchwood. Heh heh heh. (Not actually having to *watch* a show for information is handy...)

Well, I *knew* Jack (or whatever the hell his name is) was going to be in a few episodes of S3 of Doctor Who, but yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! TARDIS!!!! This is #2 on my list of Most Wanted Doctor Who Reunions! *bounces*

I sooo hope the reunion will live up to expectations. Wonder which will be higher on Jack's list?

"Oh, by the way, IMMORTAL. So, is there a club pin or something?"

or

"You fucking LEFT me, you bastard!"

Of course, since Jack will be back on Doctor Who, it'll be:

"You *beeeeep* LEFT me... Wait. Why'd I just beep?"

"Right. You're on at 7 now."

"So I guess this means that angsty sex is out?"

"Oooh, sorry."

"Well, at least I've still got your hand."

"Hold on. What?"

I just watched the season ender. It was better than many of the middle episodes.

It will be the Captain we luved before...

"You *beeeeep* LEFT me... Wait. Why'd I just beep?"

There is quite a bit of that on Crotchwood Torchwood.

"So I guess this means that angsty sex is out?"

I don't remember Jack ever kissing a woman the entire season. But he's attempted to hump kiss every guy!

Wonder if it will be though. He seems pretty scarred at the moment.

Well, of course! He's a 51st Century guy! (Or whatever century it was.) :D

The whole over-sexed, love everyone kind of guy worked so much better on the Doctor. It just got tiresome on Torchwood.

The season ender was better than the rest of the season and I will probably come back for more (agony) next season. I just hope there's a little less agnst from Owen, Gwen, Ianto, and Tosh. Gee guys, give it a rest, huh!!!

Well, I *knew* it really wasn't my style of show. Just...too dark. But not BSG-dark. Different. It was weird. Anyway, I'm much the happier by not trying to make myself watch it.

[identity profile] greenpear.livejournal.com 2007-01-03 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
In a way I wish I hadn't watched it. It distorted my vision of Jack for good. Not even a re-watching of the Who episodes will restore that love...

And it's not just the darkness. It's the rauchiness of it. I don't mind it a little. They've just taken it too far over the edge. It's like the team is more interested in fucking than the case at hand.

Maybe they need an alien sex monster. Now that would make them all happy. One big Crotchwood family...

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-01-03 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
The graphicness of it didn't even really get to me. It takes a LOT to offend these ears/eyes. But just from what I saw of the first two eps and then from what I've read, it sounded like the whole Torchwood team was utterly fucked up. Made me hope to God the AU!Torchwood isn't like that, otherwise Rose got sent to hell.

Alien sex monster! HA! Although, I *know* I've seen this before somewhere...

[identity profile] beck-liz.livejournal.com 2007-01-03 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Hmph. I should make you watch on your own. *poke* I'd say you should really see the last two episodes at least, but I'm not sure how much sense they actually make without what came before. Also, the CGI monster is cheesy in the extreme.

Awww. Poor Jack. Rotten luck, that.

"Well, at least I've still got your hand."

"Hold on. What?"

You know, I can picture Jack waggling his eyebrows when he says that. Heh.

Mwah! I'm fairly content with the rundown you gave me. :D

Uh huh! And the Doctor being fairly horrified. :D

The last episode blew me away. I was crying like a fool. There was kind of a Rose mention as well. Well, in that when he is explaining to Tosh in episode 12 why he can't die, he talks about being dead and someone bringing him back. I really want that addressed when meets up with the Doctor. Jack's face when he heard the TARDIS sound was priceless. The right kind of Doctor is on the way.

As Jack's immortality has once again been explored, I srtill wonder if the Vortex had any effect on Rose. I know others have theorized that Rose put the thought out that Jack should be alive and therefore the Vortex keeps relaying that every time Jack dies at any given time, but I still would think that holding all of time for as long as she did would change her physiology in some way.

Well, some sort of mention of Rose will have to be brought up, just because she was the one who ultimately brought Jack back to life.

Still wish that Jack could be able to confront *Rose* about that though. (#3 of my Most Wanted Doctor Who Reunions)

I think I've said before, but it'll totally be up to the writers on that one. You could *easily* make something canon going either way. So I guess if it would suit their needs to have Rose altered, they'll do it.

Do you have any opinions or theories on this? I must have missed the post where you addressed it.

Well, there was this:

http://community.livejournal.com/doctor_plus_one/29005.html

My opinion of it basically is if the writers *do* decide to make Rose immortal or whatever, they'd BETTER plan on getting her back with the Doctor. Because to have her live forever alone? Totally not acceptable.

LOL. Damn censorship! I was so used to them bloody swearing everywhere on Torchwood. But yes! He's still got Ten's hand. How...kinky..?

I really hope the reunion will be a good one!

Heh. Why do you think I said "let the ficcage begin"? ;)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-01-03 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh huh! :D

[identity profile] deltachild.livejournal.com 2007-01-04 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, this calls for a Doctor WHo episode from the Doctor's POV that can be shown at 7 and then the first episode of Season 2 Torchwood should be the same episode except from Jack's POV and LET THERE BE SEX! :)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-01-04 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
BWAHAHAHA!! Could you imagine? :D

"But mummy, the Doctor is going to be on this show with Jack! I wanna watch!"

"NO! And you're not until you're 32, either!"
