So Romano turned out to be Jack's brother in some weird genetic quirk. Sorta like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito in Twins. And it was shocking. And *then* we met Tall Blond Kid whose mother had a thing for Jack, long, long ago, in a...you know the rest. HMMMMMMMMMMM.

Somehow, I was so shocked that they were brothers (really? Brothers? Genetics are weird), it didn't even occur to me that the kid might be Jack's son. Until you mentioned it, anyway. Clearly, I fail soap opera 101. *hangs head in shame*

Hopefully, the kid will be way less annoying than Kim. Please.

Actually, I thought it was beyond weird that Jack's brother's wife magically had a history with Jack. And then when Jack was introduced to the kid, it was like "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Okay. That's why." Heh heh.

Pretty, but annoying. See, every time I'd think, "Hey, she's not so bad!" she'd turn around and do something incredibly annoying, and so eventually I just gave up. I'm sure her actress is a fine person, though. :-)

Yeah, she was written to do some stupid things at times, but I guess I look back in retrospect and think she wasn't too bad. Maybe it's just because we haven't really seen more than a glimpse of her in two seasons that the selective memory is coming into play.

Mind you then it'd be so super obvious that Graham was the mailman's. There is no way he could be related to the gorgeousness that is the Kief.

I really hope he's not Jack's son, just because OMG could Jack NEVER keep it in his pants while he was married to Terri? How many affairs did he have? Clearly that kid is younger that Kim, so if he's Jack's then Jack was cheating. Which I hate because Jack Bauer is to be held above all other men as a shining example of delicious manhood. Or something.

Well, maybe that was his flaw. But this kid looked about...14? Trying to figure out how many years have passed between now and the first season, and how long Jack was separated from Terri makes my head spinney.

We don't have a year for the first season, but we do know the following:

- David Palmer was a Senator running for office in S1. In S2 he was President - albeit not for all that long. The indication is that around a year has passed.
- In S3 David Palmer is running for re-election. That would make it about 3 years later.
- In S4 President Keeler has won the election, but he doesn't appear to have been in office all that long. I think there is supposed to be around an 18 month gap.
- In S5, Jack has been on in hiding for around 18 months.
- In S6 Jack is supposed to have been in China for nearly 2 years.

Add that up: 1 year + 3 years + 18 months + 18 months + 2 years = 9 years since Terri died.

Jack and Terri were separated for a few months before S1, but were getting back together when S1 started. During that time he did have a relationship with Nina, which seems to have been deliberate on her part as a way of getting information about CTU, but it wasn't for 6 years.

Given that Kim was supposed to be 15 or 16 in S1, that would make her around 24 or 25 now - which is creepy in and of itself given her "boyfriend"/psychiatrist seemed in his 40s last season. I was so waiting for Jack to punch his lights out.

Bottom line, if Josh really is Jack's son and is only around 16 now, Jack would have to have had an affair with Marilyn while married to Terri. Although, that assumes that Jack married Terri before Kim was born. There is nothing to say that was actually the case - though I think it's supposed to be implied.

And that 9 years gels with the fact that Jack said he hasn't seen his father in 9 years, and to Graham he says that he hasn't seen him since Terri's funeral. Apparently something happened then, basically that Jack went into mourning, and didn't talk to anyone.

And Jack pretty much would have had to have an affair, wouldn't he? As much as I like Jack, it wouldn't surprise me if that happened. And this could have very well been part of what lead up to his and Terri's separation.

That's certainly a possibility, though I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Josh really is Jack's son. For all we know, they're just trying to make it look that way - though quite why 24 would want to be that soapy seems a little out of context.

Of course, we all know that Jack's twu wuv now is Audrey, especially with the way he whispered her name as the first thing he said in two years. Even before he mentioned Kim.
