Well, didn't see that one coming! Don't think anyone did. (ETA: Unless, I guess, you knew about spoilers...) And here I was all happy to finally be getting some pilot stuff. Now, anyone want to lay odds on Kara actually being dead? I mean, that's a pretty lame-ass destiny if that's all that circle was - that one day she'd do a header into a storm. Don't grand, mystic destinies usually have a point to them?
So some possibilities.
So some possibilities.
- She is actually dead. The show will go on without her. I suppose that could always happen, but with a main cast member? And I've heard no whiff of KS leaving the show? Not likely.
- She ejected and somehow got picked up by the cylons, where they'll continue to fuck with her mind. It's a stretch, yeah. But weirder things have happened.
- She's a cylon. I mentioned in an earlier episode, I thought it looked like Kara's glowy face as one of the final five. Who knows? I think it'd be fun to watch Kara the cylon for a few episodes, but I think I'd get tired of it. I'd rather see her being the head-case pilot.

Seriously? They've been talking about it for MONTHS. Her name's being removed from credits even. It was how the knowledge first got circled.

I hope there is more to it then that.
Btw, best opening scene eva. *growl*

I'm so behind. Stupid Australia.

The spoiler that Kara was going to "die" in last night's episode has been around for awhile. I had not heard about them removing her credit, but I have a feeling that if that occurs it'll be solely so that her return is more surprising.
I do think she'll be back when we least suspect it, though. I hope she will, anyway. For all that she's annoyed the crap out of me at times, it won't be the same without her.

Hmm. I think I'll just watch the rest unspoiled. May as well.

Yeah. Of course, if she lives, she's almost certainly a cylon.

Okay, I missed the first couple of minutes. Didn't change the channel over there quick enough.

Well, unlike Rose "dying" in Doomsday, this was pretty...dead.

I'm sure.

Yeah, I agree. I'd say there's a 99% chance she'll be back in some way - either human or cylon. I kinda hope she's not a cylon since I'd much rather see her running around Galactica annoying people.

I don't know what it is, but for some reason I'm getting less and less interested in any behind-the-scenes things or episode commentaries for any show. I'd rather just watch the story.

You know, that would just be the ultimate mind frak, and I wouldn't put it past RDM&Co ;-)
Cos if Bill's a Cylon and Laura's a Cylon and Starbuck's a Cylon, that leaves only 2 of the Final Five unknown.. and the chances of all three of them being one of the Final Five seems rather distant, so the only logical explanation would be that the whole Fleet is made up of Cylons and the Final Five are the Mystic Ones with the Grand Plan..
Or something..
Part of me can't wait to see this ep and part of me is recoiling in abject horror at the mere thought..

Plus, none of the male Known Cylons are pretty, but then that could be cos they're the only models that went into mass production, and making the pretty female models takes up all the pretty ;-)
Or something ;-)
But then if Lee were a once-off model, the "perfect pretty" would make sense again ;-)
*is being very silly*

I blame the last three episodes, mostly. We've barely seen any of them in a month and now all of a sudden they're a) chummy again b) back at the wheel of destiny, even though we've spent all of our time WATCHING DIRTY PEOPLE PLAY POLITICS while the main characters are reduced to caricatures of their former selves.
Yeah...I am a little bitter.

Good point. There was all this talk of new beginnings and starting over. (Wasn't that what the figurehead Kara gave Adama supposed to represent?) And I kinda doubt it was some metaphysical reference, so yeah. Like you said, she's *gotta* turn up.
I wish Ron Moore had the guts to kill off a major character, well and truly. All the deaths have been minor players, even though they've been well-done.
That would be interesting to see a main character go, wouldn't it? I just can't see him being able to let go though.
