The Chief watched the blur of motion in front of him - pilots scrambling into Vipers, deck crew prepping them for launch and then running through their post-launch checklists. They had no clue. No idea.

He was a toaster.

And not the good kind that defrosted, warmed and had a bagel setting either. No, he was a Cylon. But there was something else. Something he hadn't even mentioned to his other...his other what? Comrades? Traitors? Fellow toasters?

It was two words. Two words that had followed him throughout his life. Two words that kept turning over and over in his mind. He knew now they had to have some sort of significance - that they were important. Very important. And as the last Viper left for the launch bay, he muttered them under his breath.

"Bad Wolf."
