I need ice cream.

I may have to turn in my D/R shipper card, but from the preview, it looks like the episode could be fun. Well, 98% of the episode. Yeah, the Doctor, I mean, John Smith gets married, so I should be cringing in horror, right? *turns in shipper card* And bonus, IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A SINGLE S1 OR S2 EPISODE! *backflips*

No, the only part that has me potentially cringing in horror is the ending. I just do not deal well with angst. (Which is probably why almost a year later just watching parts of Doomsday *shreds* me, and why S3 has been accompanied by booze.) Unfortunately, I'm picturing another TGitF-type ending - melancholy and sad. Not exactly sure how it all will go down with John Smith/the Doctor leaving the woman he marries, but undoubtedly a heart or hearts will be broken. Wah. :(

I'll just sit quietly and hope for a Rose reference somewhere in the arc. What? It could happen! Right? Maybe?

Heck, I'll do a backflip right with you just for that. And I'm not athletic enough to backflip properly, so I'd probably end up breaking something. :-)

I liked what someone suggeested elsewhere (in one of your previous posts, maybe?)- that maybe Martha'd use Rose to snap him out of it. What? It could happen. I'd collapse from the shock if it did (and the Martha-loving Rose-haters would probably have their brains explode), but wouldn't it be fab if that happened? Heeheehee.

How about a mental backflip? :D But as long as it doesn't turn into The Empty Child, I think we're safe. *CROSSES FINGERS* We may have actually lucked out that it's from a book that was written before New Who. Heh.

I would love that, quite frankly. The Rose part, not the brain-exploding part, 'cause ICK. ;)

I feel the same way.

Not about the turning in of the shipper card, but about the potential for cuteness. John Smith's laughter was adorable. It will most likely end in tears, though. Poor Doctor.

John Smith just looks like an adorable dork. In a different way than the Doctor's an adorable dork.

S3 is entirely lacking in angst, so we could certainly use some!

He really, really does. I want to snuggle him and watch him play with puppies. He's so extremely adorable.

Hee!

I'm really curious about this girl. And how long he knows her before the "love". I can't wait to see what she's like.

It will be interesting to see what kind of taste John Smith has in women. :D
