Have the feeling Human Nature will get LOADS of meta before and after.
So in that promo for Human Nature, was that woman the one he ends up marrying? Because the lines there made me have a thought. "We make quite a team." "Don't we just?" If John Smith is a sort of watered-down version of the Doctor, wonder if this woman he marries will end up being a sort of watered-down version of Rose. Would not surprise me a lick to hear some repeated lines of Rose being said by this person, since repeated lines are the frickin THEME of S3.
But anyway, like I was mentioning to
manticoran elsewhere, I'm not sure how much further down the Doctor could go. 42 seemed fairly rock-bottom to me - his faith in *everything* is gone. Maybe this Human Nature arc will restore his faith in humanity again? To see that humans (basically his adopted species) are worth fighting for?
Am trying to be optimistic and ignore the hearts-squashing I have a feeling will be coming at the end of all this. (OMG, I'm gonna need booze for the end of Family of Blood, aren't I? *sobs*)

Oh, I hope so. He so needs to believe that again, to believe in that again, if nothing else.

Is FoB the episode after HN? Is it the 2nd part of a two-parter (can you tell how out of the loop I am, spoiler-wise)? If so, then yes, probably. We may all need booze. May need to have some sort of trip so that we can all watch it together. Eeep.

I think that's what it's called.

I really am hoping this restores his faith in something, if nothing else, his faith in himself. I have a feeling he's going to need it real soon.

I feel you. But I think it will be worth it if the Doctor somehow learns from all this. And I love D/R with all of my heart, but this just makes me smile: Lookee! (Warning: Comes from an accidental leak of the Human Nature Confidential. Doesn't spoil any of the plot points, just something that happens between the Doctor and Jessica Hynes' character.

Awwwww! Well, right now I'm more than thrilled to watch the Doctor have a little happiness in his life, even if it's for a short period of time and even if it's not the Doctor.

Good to know -- it seemed like
the DoctorJohn Smith had a cute, giggly chemistry with her. Those pictures look adorable.no subject

Oh, I would just love that. Now I'll be looking for comparisons all episode *facepalm*
He does seem to be more angry at humans than before. He seems tired of saving them. It's become a chore to straighten out their messes and no matter how many times he saves the day, they still muck it up again. This isn't like Bad Wolf, where he can blame his actions in The Long Game for the state of the world. This is just humans acting without him around. I think he's missing the BOUNCY FUN of the adventures.

Yeah, he seems really like he's just dragging along now. And the only reason I can see for it is that he's lost Rose.
