Okay, HA! I just realized that the sequel I'm writing to my long D/R fic - the one that still lacks an actual plot - will probably need to be changed.

The setting *was* going to be aboard a space cruiseliner, but if the Titanic thing is actually some sort of space Titanic/Douglas Adams thing or something... *turns up nose at redundancy*

You know, it seriously would not be hard to change the venue as I STILL HAVE NO PLOT. Nada. Okay, I have a subplot, but that also could easily change venue. Need to stick to the time period though, which is The Future. And I refuse to do something on Earth.

Maybe I could just do a non-ship (um, the boat kind of ship) resort. (Even though there have been a few of those in the classic series.) And then! Some local mystery! Where it turns out to be old man Whitherspoon under the mask! No, wait. It turns out to be old alien Whitherspoon under a genetic graft!

Yeah, this is never getting written. *flicks brain*

ETA: Oh! OH! I ditched an old scene a while back, about the Doctor trying to kick everyone out of the TARDIS (temporarily) due to feeling crowded by his now giant herd of humans! I could take that scene back as he might decide to try and shake everyone out of the TARDIS at some resort!

However, I still have no plot.

However, I still have no plot.

The Doctor and Rose have lots of sex! have an all night air hockey competition! go to the library! Yeah. Never mind.

I like the resort idea! :D

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
BWAH!!! Everyone else on the TARDIS just covers their ears and lalalalas for...a few days. :D

*has amusing thought of the Doctor putting on some kind of cloaking device on the bedroom door, but it backfires on him when Rose gets lost for several hours and by the time she gets unlost, she is just NOT in the mood as she's now covered in gunk and feathers after having to go through the back end of the aviary twice*

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
OMG! GIGGLE!

The thing is, I really must suggest that you write this now. HILARITY! And I can SO see the Doctor's face go from "Hopeful Impending Joy!!!" to "...OOPS" in the span of a few seconds. :D

And then it would end with cuddling. Because all good Doctor/Rose fic must. *serious nod*

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Or...YOU could write it! Yes!

*stomps foot*

I tagged you first!

*runs away - and takes all the cookies*

DAMN!!!

Although, it would mean there could be ducks...

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
I fully believe that the one thing the world of fanfiction is missing is more ducks!!!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
YES! Ducks are inherently funny.

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
And adorable!!!

[identity profile] debs7.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
due to feeling crowded by his now giant herd of humans

I totally read that has his now giant head of humans *face palm* I actually had to stop stare at the monitor, shake my head and reread it.

Oi Vey.

MWAH! You've got the Face of Boe on the brain!

Plot? Who needs plot? After having finally seen Runaway Bride and Smith and Jones last week, I personally would bow to you if you just wrote 50 pages of them cuddling in the corner of the TARDIS. Cause poor Ten! He needs a hug so badly!

By the way, if I didn't mention it last month when I finally managed to read Inertia (it got posted when I was buried in schoolwork), it was absolutely fantastic and awesome! I reread it today when I was bored at work and adored it just as much as the first time!

He so totally does. Lots of hugging. And petting. A petting zoo might be good.

Awww! Thank you!! :)

You do realize this resulted in my picturing Ten as a resident of a petting zoo, rather than a visitor? And wondering what's in the little vending machines with snacks for him?

[identity profile] spacefiend.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
This would be the most R-rated petting zoo EVER.

I would be first in line.

That's it, I'm printing up tickets right now. :-D

Name your price!

[identity profile] velvet4269.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:55 pm (UTC)(link)
R-rated? You need to see Cassanova. NC-17, at the least.

I love posts like this. It's good to know I'm not the only one flailing. :: pats ::

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
*nods* Neurotic fic writers love company. :D

And hearing things like "I care not for Blood Ties and want you to be writing your DW fic" just does NOT help. At all. ;)
ext_5608: (laugh)

[identity profile] wiliqueen.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
No, I'm afraid not. Plus, the DW fic has its own inherent flailing. OH NOES THEY JOSSED MY MASTER OMGWOE. *dramatic swoon*

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. Have the Master pop up and say "Psych! It was all a JOKE! HA! Everything!" ;D

*SHAKES YOU DOWN FOR MULTI-ERA FIC*

"Psych! It was all a JOKE! HA! Everything!" ;D

And for most things with the Master, that would...actually work.

Unfortunately, I have to just Pretend Season 3 Hasn't Happened, because my plot requires him to have survived the Time War in a particular way, and requires the Doctor to have no suspicion that he did.

I just have to get myself into a mindset of pretending I'm writing it during S2, and that the jossing isn't before most of the fact.

At least both shows are in a break right now, so I don't have additional jossing flying at me. Reprieve until October for BT, and Christmas for Who. *whew*

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to switch off the brain. Especially since they actually *used* the Master in S3.

Can you rightly call a bunch of "apes" a herd?

I'm not sure if I've read your stuff before...point me in the right direction?

Yes? :D

I've got actual DW fic in one place on my site:

http://sg1michelle.homestead.com/dw/index.html

But I tend to throw out non-fic (where I'm just screwing around and having fun) plus actual fic in LJ. If you feel like scrolling (and hitting some other fandoms):
