Thanks for everyone's comments. :)
Hopped online for a bit. Right now we've got the news on and I'm watching them trying to hold the fire line about a mile and a half from my place.
ETA: 6:30 p.m. Pacific. So far I've still got a home. I think. But the area near me is still burning. Don't know if I'll be able to get in there tomorrow yet - probably all depends on the winds. Man, this is exhausting.
ETA2: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. I've tried updating before, but the internet keeps dying here. We got a brief break this morning when it was clear and the air was smokeless, but now the smoke's back and the wind has picked up again. It sounds like my place is out of any immediate fire danger for now, but the evacuation order hasn't been lifted yet. Not sure when it will be, and I can understand their caution for not doing it - the Witch fire merged with another fire this morning, so this isn't over. But I WANT TO GO HOME.

Can't they excavate a lake and dump it on the fire? OH, GOD! *holds your hand*

Right now, we're just dealing with the stench of the fire and the totally sucky air quality. Little bits of ash but not a whole lot. And the freakin' heat. OMG. It's like being in an oven and having all the moisture sucked out of you by the heat.
When does Karen leave? What about your work? Is it evacuated, too?

The fire burned down the hills, directly across from the dorms. It was a scary, tense situation for everyone involved.
I know it sucks, and doesn't ease the situation at all, but I think we're all just glad you're safe. Keep us updated.
