It's November!

  • November! Things on this month's agenda: having Thanksgiving at my place for once! Woo! I'm looking forward to it. Also for this month, trying to remember my birthday. And we'll just ignore that I *constantly* forget exactly how old I am. And not in an "I like to act 5!" way.

  • So I watched that GhostHunters Live thing for approximately 5 minutes last night, and I SAW SOMETHING MOVE ACROSS THE SCREEN. And then I was no longer watching that GhostHunters Live thing.

  • We're expecting Santa Ana winds again this weekend. But looks like they'll be much milder this time around. Phew. Actually, the ones during the fires were probably the most extreme I've ever seen them.

  • Quite possibly the best thing in fic writing is to write a bit and then throw it at someone with an, "I'm done for now, you do it." And then it comes back at you with some more written, so you write a bit more and repeat. Tag-team writing is getting me to write! *eyes flist* [livejournal.com profile] goldy_dollar's mine and you all can't have her!! *waves stick* (No babyfic this time, but there is a copious amount of fluff.)

My dad consistently forgets how old he is. One year, my sister and I got him a gift card that was one dollar for every year he'd been alive, and when he opened it, he said "Wait, I'm not 57, am I?" and had to do the math. His logic is that after a certain point, there are really any milestone birthdays (16 can drive, 18 can vote, 21 can drink, etc). I don't know that I buy that from the man that always has to ask me what year I was born, but you can use that logic too.

*aren't really any milestone birthdays.

I can type, really.

There's always 62, the age a person can start drawing Social Security benefits... =D

[identity profile] scifijunkie.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, he turned 62 and we had to remind him of that. I don't think he counts that because he won't be retiring for a while yet. Poor guy will probably still be working when he's 70.

Ha! Yeah, I have to do the math too. And then I forget what year it is... :D

Actually, I kind of feel bad for [Bad username or site: manticoran / @ livejournal.com], who seems to get dragged into these things against her will. :D

When IS your birthday? It isn't written in your profile!

At least we haven't used a whip on her. Yet.

I took it off after guilt of people making Happy Birthday posts when I generally don't return the favor as I'd be making birthday posts practically every day. Guilt is a big motivator for me. (It's the 19th.)

Eeeep! *hides* At least I'm on the opposite coast from you, and way far south of her. Hmph.

And your birthday is the 19th of this month? As to the birthday thing, I seriously do not do it for everyone on my flist. No one I know does. Just a few people, generally. If I remember. :-)

Lucky.

It is.

The guilt!! I barely remember birthdays of people I know in RL.

Poor thing.

Muha. Totally understand. If it makes you feel any better, I'm PRETTY sure I'll forget all about your birthday in about two days. Actually, on the 19, you can probably expect an email that's like: "No one's writing this fic. WRITE IT FOR ME!"

Nov 19:

Frances: No one's writing this fic. WRITE IT FOR ME!

Me: *blinks* Nine/Rose porn?? THE HELL?! When did this happen??

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2007-11-02 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Heeeeeh! *files this away for later use*

[identity profile] flotternz.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
So the Ghost Hunters live thing was better than the one last year?

*grins*

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It certainly scared me!

[identity profile] flotternz.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
That's good to know! Last years was a yawn fest that I wasn't keen to repeat!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-11-01 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure how the rest was. But...meep!

So I watched that GhostHunters Live thing for approximately 5 minutes last night, and I SAW SOMETHING MOVE ACROSS THE SCREEN. And then I was no longer watching that GhostHunters Live thing.

Cool! I had it on in the background at the beginning of the broadcast so I must have missed it. Actually I didn't really start paying much attention until the last two hours of the broadcast. I kept getting annoyed with the background music and effects sounds that they would have playing.

Hopefully it'll show up in the results show next week.

(No babyfic this time, but there is a copious amount of fluff.)

*Looks forward to the copious amount of fluff* Yay! :D
