DW: Time Crash
...because by the time I watched it, I knew all the best lines and all the surprises. There was really nothing left for me to squee at, since I'd squeed before. I'm fairly mad at myself, because I know I would have absolutely LOVED it to pieces if I'd not known what was coming.
I still do love it, but... It's like you can still like The Sixth Sense if you knew the ending, but it isn't going to make you flip out.
It really is my own fault.
But other than that, this was an unabashed love note to the past, and really at the end more Tennant/Moffat talking than the Doctor talking, but still, just so incredibly fun and lovely.

Complete valentine. And DT must have been in high heaven, getting a chance to say those lines to PD.

Seriously, it really is my own fault. I read every post on the flist, so by the time I watched I knew the celery thing and the mistaken fan thing and the glasses thing and... Yeah.

Totally! I mean, come on. That wasn't the Doctor getting practically choked up there about his past self. ;)

Yeah I was thinking that the line 'You were *my* Doctor' was DT speaking instead of the character.

I was so tempted to do just that because by the time I got my hands on the computer, most of my flist was riddled with Time Crash reaction posts. I managed to stay away from them until I was able to watch it and... the whole thing was was just so much fun.
Yep. Completely a love not to the past and I was oh so very very glad to have watched a couple of Five's episodes before this... it helped me appreciate this last moment much more.
I was becoming a bit teary eyed throughout the "My Doctor" speech. *happy sigh* Oh and I totally agree with you that this section was more the actors' words than the Doctor's.
*LOL over the "fan" reference*

Read about that one.

Just *so* completely. That last bit? Very much taking it out of the character there, which I am more than fine with. *pets them*

I really should have.

It really was incredibly sweet. :)

i love not reading spoilers.
it's hard to see everyone talking about them sometimes but it is so worth it!

And that was SO the actors and the end, not the characters, but it doesn't matter because it was so sweet and wonderful and I'm excited for the show again. Yay!

Well, no one had spoilers outside a cut or anything, so I've got no one to blame but myself. :D

I don't think I'd care for something like that in an actual episode, but this was the *perfect* format to do it in. Where they could do a big whopping "thank you" to what this show is based on.

As for the OOC thing at the end - I think it was just so sweet and amazing that it didn't matter. Besides, it's the CiN special. They can do whatever they like. It's for charity. And I think Davison deserved that little ending.

im kinda glad i wasnt part of the fandom then.
i mean, i would've love to squee while s2 was airing, but i know i wouldn't have have been to avoid spoilers, thought it would've nice to have people to mourn with,
i didnt join the fandom til after i'd finished watching s2, especifically cause i didnt want to be spoiled.
it happened in the alias fandom, with the s2 finale. i dont read spoilers, havent since season 8 of xfiles. but for that whole crazy timejump thing they were everywhere. completely invaded every forum and ,of course, ffnet-
still, it didnt completely ruined the show, since it was the kinda thing you oughta see to comprehend, same with AoG/Doomsday, but still.
i used to read spoilers a long time ago. back when i didnt download shows so i waited months and months and months for fox to air x files and buffy and dark angel and roswell and all that.
so i read spoilers. like spoilers fore requiem, the s7 finale. my first impossible to avoid spoilers. we took turns in the forums, who got to spoil the newbies.
i dont think there was a single person in the whole internet fandom who didnt know what the ep was about. i did go offline for like a week when it aired though.
and i even scripts in advance. my brothers still tease me about that.
but then i read about mulder dying and being resurrected mid season 8 and decided i was done. i didnt want to know anything else.
and besides a few accidents, i havent.
i really enjoy the surprises, i dont like to read ep descriptions or promos or anything, i like to know as alittle as possible. of course, it depends on the fandoms. for some, i dont care-
for private practice i have been watching promos and sneak peeks. i love it so much i have to know.
you should really try to be more spoiler-free. join those of use in surprise!land

THANKFULLY I did not have time to read my friend's list AND watch the special, so I didn't get spoiled.
And also, as you know, I have incredibly strong self-control.

I squeed.
And laughed.
But mostly Squeed.

*nods* I will not knock them for doing it at ALL.

And I had about six hours of doing nothing but staring at the flist...

I just adored this. It really rekindled a feeling that's been missing for me for a while for the show...and now I'm really looking forward to the Christmas special.
(And did you catch the clip of JB reporting behind the scenes? Loved that!)

"You are not alone? I know I'm not alone, you daft old face, I told myself back when I was....."
Oh WTF, it was still brilliant. But never let it be said that RTD is the only writer who can junk 39 eps of plot development in favour of a great line.

I *had* been feeling this on Friday during the day. The last time I'd been genuinely excited - actual bouncy excitement - to see something Doctor Who-related was during S2 before the "BP's leaving" announcement.
And I haven't seen the JB part.

*handwaves*
(Although, I always go by the whole "no one's history/future is set in stone" thing. Even the Doctor's.)

Uh huh. :D Like, the Doctor should just NOT have been surprised at the Master getting married, apparently. ;)

And Doctor Who and Izzard's a *must* combination. :D
