- How bad would be if I said I really want to see the new National Treasure? Faux history and all. I'm not even a really big Nicholas Cage fan, but I thought the first one was all kinds of cheesycool fun.
- I've decided I'm going to try to stay unspoiled for DW's Voyage of the Damned. TRY. I'll wait while you have a good laugh. All done? And to get into practice, I'm gonna stop reading any VotD posts from here on in. I've only watched the tiny seconds-long trailer, and I know there's a longer one out there. But I kinda don't even want to see that beforehand.
- I suppose I need to go shopping. *hangs head in defeat* But I REALLY don't want to. ETA: HA! One present down from Amazon.
- I also need to watch AoL/WWIII today.
- It's noon already?

If I don't wind up seeing the new one in the theater, I'll definitely Netflix it.

Good luck with not being spoiled *snicker*

And the Time Crash thing kind of taught me a lesson - if I want to enjoy it, I *really* need to not get others' impressions of it first. It messes with my head.

And I got spoiled for Voyage of the Damned and now know more than I wish I knew. Keep away from the spoilers and I think you'll enjoy it more...

I saw the trailer when I went to the cinema recently and I had a geekgasm. I loved the first one! :D:D
And the new short trailer released today on the DW advent calendar made me scowl. So you're probably best off staying away!

I don't want to know! AT ALL!

(Though the producers clearly do not get fandom. AT ALL.)

(Although if it helps at all, I remember reading something recently where RTD said that he has absolutely no control over what the BBC promos. OH! I know what it was - he was irked that they'd promo-ed the hell out of the kiss between the Doctor and Martha in Smith & Jones, since to him it gave the wrong impression.)

Also, I have a sort of mini-crush on the Riley character. Yep. I like dorky funny.
On my dad's side of the family, all the kids/cousins/aunts go and see a movie the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas, and we already decided that the one we're going to go see after Christmas will be National Treasure 2.
As for VotD, I am trying to stay unspoiled, too! It isn't easy!

And how fun to always go as a family! I might have to suggested that to my family as well.

Besides, we watch a show where Dickens met aliens and Shakespeare has magic witch-summoning lost plays. I wouldn't be too worried about faux-history, if I were you.
I will be going to see National Treasure 2 in the theatre, if only as a part of Movie Madness with the Fun Aunt & Uncle.

i love being unspoiled. even if it means not being able to check my flist or,you know, the internet.
i liked NT. its fun, kinda silly and i really enjoyed the faux history and conspiracies.
i'll probably dl the 2nd one.
funny how no one here seems to like Nic Cage. i don't like or dislike him. he's not really a factor on a movie. of NT, i like the other guy, riley and i think the girl looks a lot like Ainsley Hayes

For me with Nicholas Cage, I don't really care for him all that much because he plays just about every character he does exactly the same. Less acting and more reciting lines, to me. But he's decent enough at it so it doesn't irk me. (Unlike Kevin Costner who does.)

OOOH! They're making a 3rd one! But they've got someone else to play Evelyn, which is sadness.
