Teyla, and some Athosian dude who is conveniently among the missing (all her people have mysteriously vanished! She may be carrying the last one!). Whatever, the whole arc is because the actress got knocked up.
Aww I can sympathise with you about the lack of sleep, i was like that on Monday.
I read an article on S2 and apparantley it's less angsty.

It's with a Y! That's why it wasn't looking right.
Is Teyla Athosian as well?

Jack was very emo from what I remember of the first episode. Hopefully he's not as bad anymore.
Yeah, that's her deal. She was the leader of the Athosians until she BRAVELY SACRIFICED her position to work with the Lanteans, because she believes them to be the best chance of SAVING THE GALAXY.
I think I read initially they were going to have McKay and his girlfriend have a baby but didn't want two lead characters facing parenthood and since Rachel Luttrell was pregnant in real life, it just made sense to have Teyla be the one having a kid. But I still find her character boring.
Woohoo! Torchwood!
Woohoo! Torchwood!
(And have they found the Doctor's shoe that was stoled by blood-suckin' aliens yet?)
LOSED!!!
LOSED!!!
From the various interviews and John Barrowman's comments, Jack has gotten over his man pain (well, at least for the most part) and will be behaving more like the Jack everyone knew and loved in S1 of Who.
STOLED!

The whole cast needs to settle down from what I remember of the first season. There wasn't a calm one in the bunch...
man pain
I don't know why but I find that phrase hilarious.

The whole athosian thing was lame from the start. I think it would have been better to have them as a sone shot and be done with them.
Guess it's gonna drag forever...
Snore ZZZZzzzzzzzz.......

*sigh*
The Master knocked up Teyla. DO TRY to keep up, Duckie.

Ugh. It's a horrible feeling.
I read an article on S2 and apparantley it's less angsty.
Of course, not sure how it could be more angsty. :D

AH HA! And she had some love interest the whole time that no one knew anything about?
TOTALLY reminds me of "Citizen Joe."
Daniel: Wait a minute... Jack, you've been seeing parts of the life of a barber in Indiana for seven years and you never mentioned it?
Jack: Yeah, sure I did. *blinks* I know I did.
Sam: No. No, you didn't, sir.
Jack: I didn't?
Daniel: You didn't find that the least bit odd?
Jack: Actually, no. I found it quite ... relaxing.

I'm surprised that there was actually an alternate baby storyline that was planned. Well, like most shows it probably would have made the season finale, the kid would have aged 5 years by the next season and would disappear after the first episode, never to be spoken of again.
Apparently. Some guy that most of the Elders "saw together" or some such shit. Having the dad be an off-screen person kind of lessened the opportunity for fandom explosion. It was funny, though, when she told Sheppard, he immediately looked at Ronon who went "DON'T LOOK AT ME".
IT IS EXACTLY LIKE CITIZEN JOE.

BWAH!!
So much love for that comic. :D

There's actually supposed to be more humor, according to RTD. Of course, given RTD and the ways he's expressed his ... humor in the past, I'm a wee bit nervous about this. ;-)
But based on the clips I've seen from tonight's episode, Jack definitely seems to be in a better mood.

MAN PAIN.
And this is my new phrase that I will attempt to work into whatever conversation I possibly can.
But if he's more DW Jack, I could actually get into the show. I'm still planning on watching much of S1 as soon as it comes out on DVD.

Oh so SHE was the one who picked up his ring at the end!! And she's got it squirrled away to the SG universe. Man, is the Master going to be pissed when he un-rings and discovers SG-style DOING IT WRONG time travel.
Honestly, I'm not surprised. Robert Cooper and Co seem to really love the idea of McKay and kids going back since season 1.
The only thing that really bothers me about this show is that the writers took way too long to give these characters back story. They're in season 4 already with 22 episodes per season. We knew more about Rose in one episode then the majority of the Atlantis cast in four seasons.

S1 gave me hives, so I'll be waiting on S2 until I hear some positive feedback from folks.
