TV
Well, the new TV season is here...
I realized last night that I'm only watching Friends out of habit anymore. I no longer care who Rachael ends up with. Really, really don't care. And didn't this show used to be funnier? Or is it my imagination? Chandler's still cute, and I think he even edged out Joey in the cuteness factor last night because for some reason Joey's less cute when he's with Rachael.
So NBC did its little 45 minute show thing for the comedies again...I guess the reasoning is that since the viewer's *so* engrossed in a sitcom, we magically don't notice it's 9 p.m. and switch over to CSI. Heh. So we didn't even start Will & Grace. Unfortunately for that 15 minutes of time to kill (yes, we must watch TV!), the guy in charge of the remote kept switching it over to that Jamie Kennedy show. Shoot me now. It doesn't even deserve a rant because by the grace of God I will never watch that show ever again.
Finally...
CSI - whee! Great to see a new episode and one that creeped me out! *shudder* I actually woke up around 3 a.m. slightly freaked and I'm sure the only reason was because it wasn't resolved. Damn them! To be continued?! ACK! And they didn't even show previews for next week! *switches gears* Honestly, this is a show that even if there are pairings, I really don't care. Seriously - they could get Nick together with Warrick next week and I really wouldn't care one way or the other. I don't watch the show for that. The point of this mini tirade about pairings? I was glad they didn't have any weirdness between Grissom & Sara. Maybe they'll just drop that. (*chants* Please don't turn into ER. Please don't turn into ER.)
Stopped watching ER a couple of years ago. Think it was the episode about S&M that sent me over the edge. It's when I realized the show never actually took place in the emergency room anymore. Instead they were giving us more and more plots (and more and more of the actual episode) about the people's personal lives...and also about people who never set foot in the ER. You know, I never really cared about Carter's mom or Luca and Sherry...Lucy...Tammy's destructive relationship (or whatever their names are). So hey! One less hour of TV watching!
Oh - Couplings debuted tonight. (Where was Scrubs??) Didn't watch it for two reasons. 1) It was on at the same time as CSI - chuh! 2) Quit taking British shows and Americanizing them, you bastards! I want to see the original! What, will the strange yet debonair accent confuse my dumb American mind? Dorks. Oh, there's a third point - Lindsay Price irks me...okay, maybe I'm thinking of another actress, but *somebody* irks me and it may as well be her.
And since I'm "bleh-ing" about TV, had a vague notion that the West Wing was on this week but didn't watch. Like ER, it's another show that I was really into when it first started. Just loved it. It kinda lost me this past season though. Started getting sanctimonious - bleh. Oh well. I'll probably still tune in if I'm not doing anything and want to watch TV.
Hey - is it a new Alias this Sunday? Wonder if there'll be any meow-boomage in the Alias communities? Heh. *sneaks over to watch*

Very evil! It was a very "dammit!" moment when we realized there were no previews! :D
And couldn't agree with you more about the welcomed lack of any Grissom/Sara vibes. Phew!
Oh yeah. I think the two actors have great screen chemestry...and then they had to get weird on us last season.
Although ... what's up with Grissom's beard? Feel like he should be out stomping in the woods somewhere rather than examining bodies in 120 degree heat.
Ha! He's gone Grizzly Adams!
HA! You evil thing. *hides behind MV to watch, too* :)
*snicker* You know, I have RL friends that are stressing about it. Of course they get teased. Heh.
