josephides told something to me that shocked and saddened me. It really falls under the category of "How do you exist like that?"

So very, very sad. I wept when she told me. It didn't seem possible, but she assured me it was true.

She has never seen How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (No, not the Jim Carrey movie.) Please watch the cartoon sometime before Christmas, Jojo. Please? If for no other reason than to see Max the Dog!

Poor Jojo! How deprived can you be? The Grinch is one of my all time favorites (and the Jim Carey movie is NOT the Grinch! Blech!) and I watch it several times at Christmas time. Really should upgrade to the DVD......

Oh, yeah! I can't *wait* for Thanksgiving. We're going "home" (it's home for me, anyway, and always will be!) to Iowa for the holiday. I haven't spent Thanksgiving with my family since I moved to California in 1997. And it's been years since we've spent *any* holiday with them! So I'm quite excited.

Nope, although Christmas Story's a good one too. Definitely reccomend it if it's on. It's sorta old, but the kids are brilliant! My sis and I quote it at each other regularly. My favorite line:

"If you don't, I'm gonna stick a pussy willow so far down your ear, where no one can find it. And you'll spend the rest of your life with a pussy willow tree growing out of your ear."
