I have bones! It's true. The lab tech showed me my chest x-ray after he took them today. Things look okey dokey so off to get blood work done tomorrow. *covers eyes*

You know what's helped a lot? Peppermint tea. The kind made from pure peppermint - no actual tea involved. I think I might become an addict. I seriously could suck on the stuff all day.

Yay for bones! *squishes you*

Ooooh, peppermint tea. Sounds delicious.

And I can withstand squishing, for I have bones!

It is. Don't need any sugar in it or anything!

Bones are very important to avoid embarrassing flopping at inopportune moments, like in front of on coming traffic or when the lady at the coffee shop hands me my hot tea-with tea and occasionally peppermint.

Plus, bones not only allow for being squished but stop the squisher from just leaning in and plopping on the intended huggie (not to be confused with the diaper.) Plopping is sort of a glomp gone wrong. It's unattractive and often upsets the intended huggie.

Yay Bones! And obviously Yay narcotic cough syrup before I post!!

You are quite brilliant on narcotic cough syrup. :D

And it helps with the coughing and breathing?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)
It does!

Hate to be a buzz kill but if you do have a upper digestive problem you really shouldn't drink or eat any kind of mint. It might help in the short term but it dose long term damage.

Really? Everything that I've read about it is that taking the pure peppermint oil (like in pills) can lead to stomach irritation or even damage, but tea form is perfectly fine.

When I was having problems my doctor said that mint relaxes the sphincter that joins your stomach to your esophagus, allowing more acid to come up. He said no tea, not candies, nothing.

Well damn. The only thing that seems to help could be bad. :(

You should ask your doctor it might be diffrent for you.

*Pets* Glad to hear you have bones, although it does mean you're not secretly a shape-shifting jelly-fish like alien.

It's mildly disappointing, yeah.
