My problem in writing right now is that I'm just writing the fun fluffy scenes. About 11,000 words of it so far. Plot? Pffft. It'll probably wind up being 500 words long. :D

D&R: [have a discussion about which bedroom to sleep in]

Me: You two are WAY too cute. You know that, right?

D&R: [continue to have the discussion about the bedroom]

Me: Awwwwwwww.

D&R: [are still having the discussion about the bedroom]

Me: Okay, think we've exhausted this now.

D&R: [show no signs of stopping the bedroom discussion]

Me: YO! MOVE ON!

Doctor: What doesn't she understand about the fact that we're having a discussion about the bedroom?

Rose: I have no idea, but she's getting really rude.

Me: Guys? This could now be its own fic. I'm just sayin'.

Doctor: How can you deny the importance of this discussion? Great care and thought should be applied. Does the room have good light? Is there enough closet space? Is the bed bouncy enough? Is the floor bouncy enough?

Rose: And...hold on. The floor bouncy enough...? On second thought, I don't think I want to know.

Me: Well, can't you at least do something else for a while? You are in a bedroom, after all.

Doctor: Erm...sorry. So sorry. My hair's flat at the moment and when my hair's flat, it just doesn't happen.

Rose: He's right. Besides, we haven't finished the bedroom discussion.

Me: [FLOPS]

BWAH!!! They WOULD just stand there and natter on without coming to any conclusions. XD

But the thing is, I would read an entire fic that was just the bedroom discussion. In fact, I think I might now insist on it.

Screw the plot. I want the fluff and I want it now.

And this is why all of my smutty fics tend to be 4000+ words, about 2500 of which happen before there is any actual smut. They just can't stop being adorable, nor will they shut up. Even when there's no plot to speak of in the first place, I can't get them to stop being adorable long enough to do anything else.

Also, I would totally just read the bedroom discussion as its own fic. *nods*

But yes, I do sympathise. I think the worst I've had so far is the two of them STANDING IN FRONT OF A BOMB THAT COULD GO OFF ANY SECOND and attempting to have a moment. I really did have to trim that scene from what initially got written!

FWP is always welcome, you know. The plot is just the part you skim over to get to more flufftastic goodness.
