TWW

Random observation about the first half of S6 of The West Wing: Josh really turned stupid, didn't he? One minute he's this wunderkind that's been through two Bartlet campaigns, and the next minute he's dressing people up in chicken suits. And Santos is the only one with a brain. Apparently Josh's brain dribbled out his ears when Donna left him.

ETA: Oh, and I really really like watching CJ being Chief of Staff. Really like it. The only downside is that she doesn't get to be as funny.

Remember the good old days where CJ does The Jackal? *sigh* I want to watch TWW now.

Hee! I also loved when we first saw her, on the treadmill... Allison Janney is amazing with physical comedy.

Also, your icon is made of win.

If memory serves, S6 was also the one where Aaron Sorkin left 'em to do their own devices, which might explain some of the OOCness.

They found their way again in S7, thankfully.

I'm not exactly sure when he left - might have even been S5. But that spark of the earlier seasons really is gone, which you've got to attribute to him since most of the cast is still there.

His last episode was the season finale where John Goodman became acting president. I know that for sure because I read up all the behind the scene stuff when I was rewatching it, so whichever season that one -- which I believe was s4 was Sorkin's last stuff. He basically left them with a HUGE muddle to get through.

YIKES. What a place to leave it for the new guys!

He was a tad pissed and took it out on new guys in a very, very petty way. Ah, Aaron.

I have this odd inability to rewatch TWW now even though I own all seven seasons. What happens is that I sit down to watch it, get through a few episodes and then I HAVE TO WATCH the CJ's first day as CoS episode. I just have to. And then I'm done with WW for a while, I go back and pick up where I left off, a few eps later, I HAVE TO WATCH the CJ's first day as CoS episode. I'm never gonna get through a rewatch at this point.

I don't blame you. I REALLY love watching CJ in that new role. Like not figuring out she had her own door to the Oval Office. Or going into the Sit Room for the first time. *LOVES*

And when all the reporters try and follow her, and the discussions with Margaret, and the thing with cows in the pasture and just all of it. I just love it so, so, so, sooooo much. Oh, and then she visits Leo and she's all weepy and ugh, it kills me dead! So good.

YES!! I totally cracked up when all the press stormed her office.
