I just realized that edible ball bearings (aka metallic dragées) are prohibited in California! Like, very bad things could happen if you try to ship them in!

Okay, it happened back in 2003 and shows my complete lack of interest in obtaining them all this time, BUT STILL! We're the only place the world that's banned them!

Makes me want to take cheap shots at other states so I can feel better about California. Like...Nebraska! You're flat and full of corn! And...Rhode Island! You're totally up to something! I'm on to you! Oh, and you're wee!

I was looking for them when TCI came out (because other people couldn't find them either), and my mother had a jar of them for years so I thought, "Well, this shouldn't be hard."

But there where no edible ball bearings.

They were just...gone. Which lead me to the fact that they are prohibited in Cali, and it's stupid, because I have been eating those straight and on cookies for years and have I got metal poisoning? NO. And anyway, what's a little silver poising compared to cute metallic cake decorations? I ask you. *hmphs*
