I'm planning on going to Disneyland today. That's IF traffic lets up. There are 2 accidents between me and it right now, plus lots of blue and yellow dots. (Have to take I-5.) Normal time, about an hour. Right now, probably an hour forty-five at least.

Hmph. Well, I guess I can always go tomorrow if things don't clear up. One last hurrah before my annual pass expires.

ETA: Oy. Accidents keep happening. (It's rainy today.) Maybe I should just figure on tomorrow. It would have been nice to go on a weekday, but not sure this will be letting up anytime soon.

ETA2: Forget it. I'll go tomorrow.

Don't you work?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Not today. I took it off. I've been yelled at for not taking vacation time, so I've started to take off a day here and there.

[identity profile] elismor.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)

I do not understand people who don't take their vacation time.

That's just...wrong. :)

Well, when you don't have a whole lot of extra money to go anywhere... I just don't think about it.

[identity profile] elismor.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)

I don't have money to go anywhere, either. But I would rather be at home on my couch than at work on any given day. :)

Not gonna renew? Did you hear they take payments now? It's awesome...and shows how much they're hurting. Don't think I could have gotten a renewal if it weren't for that. But when you're only paying like $14 a month...much more manageable.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Good point.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Since it's a bit of a drive for me, I get the Premium passport - the only days I can usually go are blockout days on other passports. But even at $30 a month, it's still an expense I should do without right now.

I got nudged about my PTO. SO I decided to start making some three-day weekends. I like being able to take my days off one at a time. SOme people are stuck having to select a whole week at a time.

Yeah, that is something nice - I can be flexible with time off.

Aww, that sucks. I hate it when you've made plans but weather and/or traffic mucks everything up. :(

Btw, a columnist in my local paper wrote that on his first day in office, Obama's already managed to end California's impending drought. Ha! (But the timing's just so ... coincidental!)

[identity profile] tsukara.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, rain + I-5? Remind me what state you live in?

And can I have your rain? :C

*Petpet*

How annoying.

If you go and a little ska band by the name of the Suburban Legends is around...

I will pay you to kidnap the lead singer, Vince Walker.

Mmmmmm.

I wouldn't have minded the weather so much. I've got a Disneyland rain poncho! :D

HA!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
No! My rain! :D

We really do need the rain down here.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Oh well.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
HEH!!

[identity profile] tsukara.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
But! But!

*sigh* I guess y'all can have it a little longer then....*sniffle*

[identity profile] jesidres.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I hope you realize I'm not joking.

Mmmmmm. Hot boy in prep-school uniform....

*averts eyes*

On the plus side, the rain is supposed to continue and therefore it shouldn't be too crowded tomorrow. I'd be tempted to join you if not for the massive unpacking that still must be done. I'm not sure we're going to renew this year, either.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 03:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm glad I looked at the calendar. I thought it opened at 8 this morning. It doesn't open until 9. I would have been there shaking the gates, punching the moose in the nose...

[identity profile] diavestra.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
BWAH!

When you're done, you can swing by the new house. :)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Too late! I'm back already. :D
